Shots Fired At Salvation Army Game? UPDATE
"Hello,
I just wanted to get the word out that a man with a
gun fired a shot into the air after an altercation at the Salvation Army
football field Saturday at about Noon. I have been unable to find this story at
any media outlet and feel that some light should be shed on this. There were
hundreds of people there, including all the players. Was anyone arrested? What
is the police department doing about this? Maybe a uniformed officer at these
events would be in order? My son plays on the team there, and quite frankly I'm
worried about his safety. He does not want to stop playing there, and I do not
want to take him out, but something MUST be done to secure everyones safety.
Thanks for your help in this matter."
There have been numerous college students that have been taken to the emergency room suffering from Alcohol poisoning this weekend. I know partying is fun and all your friends do it, but drink responsibly because this is a very serious matter. There was even a young lady who was screaming in the streets she was lost at like 1AM because she was intoxicated. Please look out for your friends and have them look out for you and as the saying goes "know when to say when"
Why Are Maryland's New Ethics Rules Bothering Some Local Councils?
I have seen many small towns in our local area putting up a fight on the new Maryland Ethics rules regarding full disclosure of funding sources to Officials to keep lobbying interest out of local government. The following link

So why are so many individuals against this disclosure? Crisfield council members Mike Atkins and Kim Lawson were opposed to Crisfield adopting although Lawson caved in and agreed with it however he stated how he really wasn't a fan of it.
Princess Anne Commissioner Frank White has been the leader of the anti Ethics Law fight in their City and it just doesn't make these individuals look very good. I mean I am sure they are not hiding anything but when you oppose things like this that allow a better understanding of any financial conflicts the public is going to wonder if indeed you are trying to do that very thing.
The Communities deserve all representatives to be straight forward and honest about all connections and income sources that could "cloud" their judgement on issues that come to Council. I would urge these municipalities to adopt these new rules to lift the veil for the voters.
