Apology On Search Feature

If you have tried to search for topics via the top search bar, when I imported the salisburygrinch site for some reason it did not archive my posts in the search. All my old posts are here you just have to know the month you are looking for. I am working on a fix to get them all back in the search feature

Alice Davis Case Closed

The Official word came out today that police believe Jess Davis murdered his wife Alice near the spot her body was located then drove her car to big lots and called a cab to take him home. I am not going to keep reporting on this story past this post other than mentioning when they have the memorial service scheduled.

Wicomico Middle Getting School Resource Officer Back

I was very pleased to see that the Board of Education and the Sheriff's Department worked out  a 50/50 pay for the School Resource Officer at Wicomico Middle. In this day and age It is almost necessary to have a Deputy or risk total bedlam inside the School.

How times have changed. In the 80's a Principal could take the paddle to your rear end and make sure you didn't do whatever it was again, but now the Principal would be arrested for unlawful contact with a child and labeled a sex offender. How is this progress?

Press Conference Cancelled

The press conference has been cancelled. Sheriff Lewis said they will be sending out a Press Release with the details.

Whatever happened to the Bluegrass Festival in Crisfield?

Written in by A Somerset County Reader

Whatever happened to the Bluegrass Festival in Crisfield? I grew up in Crisfield and not only did we have the Clam Bake and the Crab Derby, but we had the Bluegrass festival. We certainly had big names show up. Brooks and Dunn, John Michael Montgomery, Faith Hill, Neil McCoy, etc..
If I remember correctly it only lasted maybe 4 or 5 years at the most a disappeared. That MUST have been a cash cow for the city. What on earth happened to it? I know the property that it used to be held on is now an upscale housing development, but couldn't they use another patch of land if that was the issue?

Chickenstock Ticket Sales Lowered

Well it looks like the lack of enthusiam for Chickenstock has convinced them to lower ticket prices down to 35 dollars from an original price of 85. I really support the idea behind this concept which is supporting the United Way but this lineup in my opinion is just terrible.

Kenny Loggins, Dionne Warwick, the Marshall Tucker Band, America and Creedence Clearwater Revisited are just not the kind of acts that will draw in the large audience required to raise money for this great cause. I had also complained earlier that no local acts are involved which I think is sad as it would be a great place to showcase their talents.

Paying a bigger name act for a shorter show I think would have been the better route.
