Please have the Mathias family in your thoughts and prayers as Jim Mathias's wife Kathy has passed away.
Hebron Savings Bank 4 Months Later Updated
Well it has been almost 4 months since Wanda Henderson left Hebron Savings Bank in a cloud of Controversy and other than a bankruptcy claim on court records we have no new information. The feds are supposed to be investigating this matter but you have to wonder if anything is being done with no movement for this long.
My mistake I thought she was led out in handcuffs but have made the correction
The independent voters
Here’s how you should be looking at the 2012 presidential election.
First, of course, it is essential that Barack Obama be defeated. We have, as president, a man who is absolutely dedicated to turning The United States into a European socialist welfare state. Barack Obama once dreamed of a Marxist revolution in America. Instructional sessions on political realities from fellow Marxists changed his course from dreaming of a violent revolution to working for a political upheaval brought through empty rhetoric that appealed to the dumb masses. This is a man who believes that capitalism is inherently evil and must be destroyed. Barack Obama wasn’t joking one bit when, five days before the 2008 election, he said that we were “five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” I don’t know how many of you thought at that time that we needed to be fundamentally transformed – but here we are, and how do you like it so far? In other words, how’s that insipid hopey changey thingy working out for you?
In 2012 Obama has pretty much of a lock on the core Democrat vote. The adults have checked out of Democrat day care and gone on to more rational personal pursuits. The leftist radicals who ran the streets during the Democrat National Convention in Chicago in 1960 are now inside the caucus rooms and DNC headquarters. Obama won’t get 96% of the black vote this time – but 85% is a certainty. Add to this the radical anti-capitalist leftists who are now celebrating their almost complete control of the Democrat Party plus the moocher class, and you see Obama going to Election Day with at least 42% of the vote. The Republican core will not be that large. Liberty and self-reliance are not quite as much in vogue as you might wish. This means the election will be won or lost -- and it may well mean that America as we know it will be won or lost – on the votes of independents. More specifically … the election will hinge on independents who were disgusted enough with the wars and the recession to vote for Obama in 2008.
So the question is just what do you have to do to get these independents to vote for the GOP candidate this time around? How do you drag them away from Obama? Some of them may just be too disgusted to even go to the polls this time around. But those who are earnestly looking for an alternative to Obama?
The economy is the whole ballgame.
The issues for these independents the GOP candidate needs to attract will be the economy – the restoration of the American private sector – jobs for those who will work and a slowing down of the gravy train for those who will not. Independents will also react to campaign rhetoric on the size, the cost and proper responsibilities of government.
How do we restore private sector growth? Can we once again return to the idea that our children will have the opportunity to have a better life than ours? If you believe that’s even possible, who among the Republican candidates have a record on creating jobs? Who among the Republican candidates have a record of taking the reigns of a disaster and turning it around? Perry on Jobs. Texas has created over 50% of all new private sectors jobs during recent years. Romney on turning around a disaster – the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. Perry on trimming the size and the power of government, Romney on private sector experience. Oh, and by the way, Herman Cain scores on both of these fronts. I’m disappointed that he didn’t show better in Iowa.
Get smart.
There’s a country to save.
