Pocomoke Police Department Needs Major Overhaul

And it needs to start with this man the Chief Of Police JD Ervin. I don't know if you noticed yesterday the huge drug bust in Pocomoke, but the thing you may have missed is the fact that of all the allied agencies working the operation guess who the one department left out of the equation was? The Pocomoke Police Department itself.

Now why would the other agencies leave the Pocomoke PD out of the loop on this drug bust? And two what an embarrassment to have such a huge crack cocaine  operation operating in your town and either not know it or not care about it. This all falls on JD's head and if Bruce Morrison doesn't replace him immediately the citizens should be outraged as it's obvious he can't do his job.

Upon Review Pocomoke Drug Blame

After making my post this morning regarding who was to blame for the huge drug bust that occurred in Pocomoke this week, I went back through several years worth of my own articles and others online to research the matter.

When I started reading and remembering this stuff the answer was very clear. Mike McDermott and Russ Blake and JD Ervin. For years The Worcester County State's Attorney's Office then under the leadership of Joel Todd had worked with other local municipalities to fight the influx of drugs into towns like Snow hill and Berlin, but Mike McDermott and Russ Blake would not let Pocomoke participate in these great programs. The question must be why?

During the election season Mike McDermott said Pocomoke's crime was down and had said many times in the past there was no open air drug market. Well I got news for ya Mikey this crack and coke didn't show up in town overnight. This garbage was there under you and Russ and JD's inept leadership that put peoples lives on the line.

Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr., announced today that he has appointed Mark S. Thompson to serve on the board of the Wicomico County Housing Authority (WCHA). Mr. Thompson has served in a wide range of volunteer community positions. He was most recently the chair of the Wicomico County Board of Education. Mr. Thompson is the Program Director for the Americorps program at Salisbury University.
Mr. Pollitt commented, “It is most appropriate to make this key appointment at this time as the Housing Authority has just been given an ‘Award of Merit’ by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). I offer my congratulations to Housing Authority Executive Director Narcinda Church.”
Executive Director Church submitted a county program entitled, “From the Brink of Condemnation to Rejuvenation” for consideration by NAHRO. On May 20th, Ms. Church learned that the entry was selected for an Award of Merit and that Wicomico County would be honored with other national winners at the NAHRO Summer Conference in Louisville on July 28th.
“From the Brink of Condemnation to Rejuvenation,” vividly and pictorially describes the rehabilitation of 90 of the WCHA’s 277 housing units starting in 2008. The narrative states that many of the to-be-rehabbed units were boarded-up and were in a general state of unattractive disrepair. The end result of the success story states that all units are now back on the rental rolls.
The entry pointed out that the capital costs for the rehab program came from H.U.D. capital funding and federal Stimulus funding valued at a combined $1.57 Million.
Executive Director Church said, “It wasn’t too long ago that the WCHA bore the burden of being classified as a ‘Troubled Housing Authority.’ We left that category in 2009 and we’ve won a national award in 2011. And we’re not done yet. We have 30 more units scheduled for rehabilitation in the near future.”

McDermott, Morrison Or Blake?

This huge coke bust in Pocomoke has another party responsible for this besides JD Ervin, and that is either Mike McDirtbag, Bruce Morrison or Russ Blake.

I tend to go with McDermott and Blake as this problem didn't just pop up overnight. Mike always claimed Pocomoke didn't have any problems with crime and they were a sweet little eastern shore town. Was he drinking the same thing as JD? These guys either knew about it and did nothing to stop it, or the most incompetent City Officials ever in Pocomoke.

McDermott and Blake are who allowed this to get this big and rumors are people in Morrisons camp want to make sure the public know it wasn't on them that this occurred.
