Pride, Arrogance, or Human Nature?
Why is it that every generation, every age thinks they are the top banana? Pick a century, pick a time period and if you investigate you'll find a people which thinks that they are the pinnacle of civilization be it science, medicine, art, music, politics, fashion or culture. If we look back at nearly any period in time, I bet most would say how much better things are today.
But are they really? Are we more prosperous, intelligent, and creative than all the peoples that came before us? Is life better, less complicated and more fulfilling than ever before? What will they say about us 100 years from now? 500 years?
Finally, if you could live in any age, in any place, what would you choose?

Salisbury Dog Park New Spot For Dumping Animals?
There have been disturbing stories lately of animals being left in the area of the Salisbury Dog park I'm guessing because the people who were worthless cowards figured they would drop them off hoping someone that loves dogs would find them and keep them. They forget they also more than likely will be hit by a car or injured before someone "happens" upon these animals. There are several spots in Salisbury known for this crap and it makes me sad to see the beautiful dog park become one of them.
Terry Cohen's words are not in sync with her actions
In today's Daily Times on Monday, August 1, 2011, City Council President Terry Cohen made a statement on the issue of rubbish. She said, "The government should shy away from insinuating itself in the relationship between property owner and occupant." Now, SAM.I.AM. could not agree more with that statement.
Unfortunately President Cohen's philosophy on this issue should be applied to every other issue happening right now, such as the Tenants Bill of Rights and the other items in the Neighborhood Legislative Package.
This is more smoke and mirrors as President Cohen is all about involving the government in the relationship between property owner and occupant in contracts, 4-2 and whatever else they can dream up. Do not let this little quote fool you, it is not representative of her political philosophy.

What Is Salisbury's Biggest Drug Problem?
With the news of the death from an apparent drug deal gone bad, what is Salisbury's biggest drug problem. I know the easy answer is weed, but not counting that one what is the local area drug of choice causing the problems.
