Debbie Campbell and Terry Cohen Want Special Investigator
In what must be the most comical thing to ever come out of these two mouths, they are super upset that the Daily Times had some information they felt was confidential regarding the WWTP and want a special investigator to get to the bottom of it because they were disappointed they didn't have subpoena power.
As much info as this pair, especially the mistress of mosquito's, have given out over the years to her favorite media source she must be out of her damn mind. The first place they could start would be Debbie and her computer.
1:30 Post Will Make You Laugh
You have got to see this post at 1:30. Talk about ridiculous and yet funny and sad at the same time.
Campbell and Cohen Want To Eliminate Housing Board of Appeals
The Two C's and Tim have it in their mind now to eliminate the Housing Board Of Adjustments and Appeals. They don't want any oversight in the fines and other issues with Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance. This is a shot at the landlords and their rights to appeal their fines.
Budgets Done, No Elections The Quiet Time Of The Year
I can tell you from a local news and politics angle it is the very slow time of the year. The budget arguments are behind us, there are no elections upcoming of note and everyone is just out enjoying their summer break. This year has been the quietest that I can remember in a long time.
More Rt 13 Construction
Route 13 has been quite the place for road construction in the past 6 months with North Salisbury being the place these days. I thought they tried to pick less busy times of the year to do this construction but they seemed to have picked up steam in the summer. I would guess the longer daylight hours enable them to get it done faster, but wow it causes a headache with people trying to switch out of the unpaved lanes.
K-9's Yes But Do We Really Need Mounted Units? UPDATED
I have been a long time supporter of the Salisbury Police Department getting K-9 units and am happy to see we are on our way to making that happen, I am however not as excited about us going back into the mounted patrol days.
The cost of purchasing and taking care of a horse is way too much in the economic crisis we are in right now even if it is years out. We had a mounted unit and it had its day and time but I think cost wise we could find better uses for that money. If money was no problem and we didn't have people furloughed I would be very supportive of the idea because it is always neat for kids to see a Police horse, however I think an extra k-9 unit would be a better use of the money.
UPDATE:I have found out more info and it is actually donated money involved not taxpayer money ..so I support 100%
