Today would have been Whitney Bennett's 24th Birthday. It is beyond words the grief that the family feels today with their beautiful Whitney gone. Her children growing up each day without their Mom. Whitney you are loved and missed and we will see that justice is served for taking you from the world that misses you.
Wheels That Heal Car Club To Be At Third Friday Next Week!
In terrific news the Wheels that Heal car club will have members parked Downtown for the public to see next Friday. If you don't remember it was the biggest day last year when they closed the plaza off for this mini show so it's something you don't want to miss.
Azul Closing It's Doors UPDATE
It seems the bad publicity has finally taken it's toll and Azul will be closing it's doors Downtown. I wish them the best in their ventures but always felt like Downtown was maybe not the best place for them when the problems started.
According to the Daily Times this is a temporary closing but let us hope it's for good.
Do We need Law Enforcement At Government Meetings?
One of the items discussed last night at the Work session was the need for a Salisbury City Police Officer to be in attendance at the regular meetings. Debbie doesn't see the point. I must strongly disagree with her on this matter. I do not think we need a Detective however to sit in the meetings, but just a plain beat cop would be fine.

New Information On HSB Investigation

Tow Truck Ordinance Shot Down
In what is happy news for the local Tow Truck industry it is now back to the drawing board for the Tow Ordinance the City had been working on. The local Tow truck groups joined an association for the industry who had a guy come down and explain to the Council that what they were trying to pass was illegal and since he had written many of the pieces of Legislation on the matter he would know. Terry already reeling from her ignorant moves of wasting tax payer money recently knew not to do something else dumb so she shelved it.
Score a win for the tow truck companies
