Great Comment Worthy A Post

The Bricks is in an Historic District. That means, much like saying the word "wedding" at a florist, the costs skyrocket automatically. As for being in the rental business, the City already is; a' la Mitchell Pond, and the same management company is supposed to manage the Bricks. I don't know about you, but I never hear anything about the City having problems or additional expense etc. at Mitchell Pond.

This project is not just rental units either, it's transitional housing (like at Village of Hope) where residents will get help to find jobs, learn to manage money, and make connections with programs like Habitat to move toward ownership. Then another family will be helped along the same path each time a unit is vacated.

The money is being GIVEN to Salisbury to do something good for all citizens and for the Church St neighborhood. Why would they not take it? One woman said at the council meeting on Monday that grant money was not free money, it's Pork Barrel spending and we aren't entitled to it and shouldn't spend it because we have to break the cycle. I have news for her, that money is OUR tax money that we have paid in and if she thinks that Uncle Sam or the State of MD is going to send ANY OF US a refund check for our tax dollars because "our leaders" refused money for the Bricks or for the Disproportionate Minority Contact grant, she has another think coming. That money will simply be shifted to another community that will improve it's quality of living above ours and our citizens (aka our tax base) will move to that community. What does she think will happen then?

People constantly say that the government should be run like a business, well guess what, in a business environment this is known as a cost/benefit decision where a NO COST (to the City)investment yields a great benefit by way of quality of life, competitive advantage over our competition. I believe the technical business term for this decision is "a no brainer", as it should be for our Council!

Anyone Have Old Pictures Of The Skate Ramp?

I barely remember it but I have a vague memory of the skate ramp that used to be behind the Civic Center. It was I think like across the road from the new Dog Park area on the hill. I would love to see an old photo of it. Thanks

Gang Activity In Somers Cove?

Several residents have brought up the fact that they believe gang activity is what is causing the problem in the apartments in Crisfield. I know that a very strong effort is being made by all the Law enforcement in that area to keep things calm after several incidents lately but wonder if it's part of a bigger problem.

UPDATE: Gee imagine that Debbie has written an editorial for ...sbynews imagine that. The website that abused Dr Alvarado, Sarah Foxwell, Alex Flores and the entire community at large. Debbie now shows where her allegiance lies once and for all. 


Debbie Campbell's pathetic editorial in the paper yesterday talking about how ill Jim Ireton and Shanie Shields made her with their remarks regarding racism and the Church street neighborhood were entirely laughable.

Debbie Campbell has been the puppet master of all the bad in Salisbury for years. This is a woman who uses the abuser of Sarah Foxwell's family as her personal PR source. A woman that sends her father out to make the videos seen on this site, and to take photos of her enemies. This is a woman who denies taking a videotape from police evidence even though Captain Mark Tyler verified this happened to whom Debbie called a Liar. This is a woman that never cared about the Church street residents except to try to get the renters thrown out in those neighborhoods. A woman who had the Salisbury Police department be her personal chauffeur of her kids on tax payer money. A woman that makes a point to miss votes on important matters or abstain from them because she is too much a coward to go on the record for fear of it coming back to hurt her later.

Debbie Campbell doesn't care about the taxpayers, she cares about herself and the lackeys that have formed her posse of lies and BS. GA Harrison, Kay Gibson, Dot Truitt, Bob Taylor, The Disharoon clan, Tim Cheney, Tim Spies the list is a whose who of Debbie minions. A woman that has three homes but expects YOU to pay for her Health Insurance but thinks the City shouldn't be in the Social Service business. What do you call taxpayer funded insurance for a part time job Deborah? one you try to avoid at all costs by going down to Silver Beach instead of worrying about the citizens of Salisbury.

Debbie Campbell is the epitome of evil and anything she latches onto will eventually sour with her foul presence around it. PAC14, Urban Salisbury, The Church Street Neighborhood all denied because Debbie is the head of the party of No unless however it's something to benefit her or her precious Camden neighborhood. Her old allies who were joint Jim and her supporters now see her for what she is, and I have had many of them tell me I was right all along and they were sorry they didn't believe it earlier. Well we have a chance to rid ourselves of this scourge of our society  soon enough so gear up we have work to do.

A City Lost

We are a City Lost. We are now controlled by the Camden Neighborhood and the rest of us are royally screwed. I want to state yet again Debbie Campbell, Terry Cohen and Tim Spies have no vision except backward. They want to eradicate anything associated with The previous Administration and that is all they can see.

I find it amusing that in the Work Sessions lately the discussion on Telephone and Video conferencing for members unable to attend meeting was very much supported by the three morons. Wow I guess Debbie can now sit back in Silver Beach and never come back during the summer. Terry can take her laptop on her Boat sailing the seas voting against the citizens and Tim, well he will be wherever Debbie tells him to be.

We are screwed people and it's because the Citizens don't think they make a difference or that what happens in the City affects them but I guess now we all see differently. All hail the Camden kingdom

Somerset and Rosa Parks

I am so happy to read that they are finally going to pave the rosa park lane in Somerset county. I was like seriously a brown dirt road and a brown road sign? I know it wasn't on purpose but someone should have been like maybe that's not a good idea. I was half expecting a "this section of highway sponsored by the kkk" sign.
