SALISBURY MAN SENTENCED TO TWENTY FIVE YEARS
FOR SEX ABUSE OF A CHILD, MUST REGISTER FOR LIFE
On January 11, 2011, a report of sexual abuse was made to the Wicomico Child Advocacy Center, also known as Sarah’s House. An investigation into the report revealed that Robert Lee Thomas, age 65, of Salisbury, Maryland committed sexual acts upon an 11 year old family member. According to investigators, the abuse began in October of 1988 and continued until October of 1996.
On June 21, 2011, the Defendant pleaded guilty by way of an Alford plea to Child Abuse and Sexual Offense in the Second Degree. The Honorable W. Newton Jackson, III, sentenced Thomas to twenty-five years incarceration in the Division of Corrections. Additionally, upon release Thomas must register with law enforcement for life as a Tier III sexual offender.
Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew A. Maciarello commended the Child Advocacy Center, Detective John Seichepine of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, and CAC Prosecutor Jamie Lynn Dykes who prosecuted this case.

Elected School Board Discussion Comes Back
I noticed this morning that Mary Ashanti brought back their wish for a decision on an elected School board or a mix of two appointed and elected.
Terry Debbie and Tim Prove Jim Ireton Correct
As was expected The Two C's along with their whipping boy Tim voted down the Bricks projects for no other reason but pettiness and hatred. Another project for the Church street area denied by the ignorant three. Jim Ireton was correct about the trio all along. Thank you Shanie and Laura for trying to do the right thing. Hey Church Street you feel represented by the Camden three now?
Wicomico County Schools Need Resource Officers
I have to put my opinion out there for the public on this matter, and as you can tell by the headline I am in favor of the School keeping it's Resource Officers. In today's world Schools are a very very dangerous place and without this deterrent being in place I can only imagine the amount of crime we would have.
I don't care where the funding comes from or how they get it, but the School system cannot afford to be without these Officers.

Why Can't Towing Companies Get A Title For Left Storage Cars?
I have had several conversations with towing companies lately and one of the topics that keeps coming up is why can't towing companies get a title for a vehicle left in their storage and be able to sell it for some profit if the City wants to regulate their rates? This certainly would solve some of the problems.
Tow Issues Move Forward
Well after much discussion the Council decided to pretty much mirror Ocean City and their Tow fees. I was totally in agreement with Laura Mitchell on the 100 dollar extra fee for serious accident or death at a scene but of course the 3 stooges decided nah screw em. I think people forget it's the Tow companies that are responsible for cleaning up these disgusting scenes and to not give them extra for having to deal with blood and guts is real nice on Terry, Tim and Debbies part.
