It what I believe is a good idea, the City is planning on using some prisoners to make up the loss in public works staff. I think this a great idea as the prisoners only make 4 dollars a day and we aren't responsible for them as the prison system has insurance for this.

The 3 County chase over the weekend has stirred up alot of that should we pursue criminals conversation again and I want to use this as a platform for those discussions. I will share my opinion to start.
I think we as civilians should not be trying to tell the Police what is and isn't safe to pursue. I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt in that they know what is best and if it becomes too much I have heard them drop the pursuit, especially motorcycles. The incident over the weekend involved assault on a police officer and that is something fellow Officers will put extra effort into stopping.
Has there been accidents because of these chases? absolutely but one commenter made a good point in that if the bad guys know they won't be chased they will just be more brazen in their crimes. It is the fear of being caught that keeps more crime from occurring. Open for debate but let us keep it civil please

It what was a shocking loss to many Fernando Guerrero lost Friday Night by tko in the 4th round. Fernando regardless of his skill as a boxer has been a hero to our area youths and is good for our community so let us hope he brushes himself off and gets back into winning form. We have few things these days to be proud of and when we have a local fighter that can inspire us all that's worth us getting behind as a community.
