Why Would You Leave Your Child Alone?

I cannot get over the story that came out over the weekend of the parents leaving their 3 year old alone and assuming the 10 year old was going to take care of the child while the parents had fun on the boardwalk. I hope social services takes the kids away from this pair, I mean what the hell were they thinking.

County Executive Office Shakeup Plans

Rick Pollitt, has plans to shake his office staff up with the creation of  a chief of staff and a budget officer position. Jim Fineran would lose the role of PIO and become Constituent Services and Communications officer, with Sharon Morris becoming the new County Administrator with the retirement of Ted Shea. Since this isn't requiring any new money what are your thoughts on the idea?

The Groundbreaking for the new 1.9 Million dollar Fruitland Police Station will be tomorrow at 5pm at 208 South Division Street. This is a great thing and something that has been needed for them for a long time.

Time For J.D. Ervin To Step Down

I have said it once and I will say it again, it is past time that Pocomoke City Police Chief J.D. Ervin step down so that some fresh blood can come into Pocomoke to tackle the growing crime problems. Gunshots within the City limits and yet McDermott clone Morrison and Ervin continue to claim Pocomoke is a safe place to visit.

Pocomoke needs some younger people to step up and take the City into the future and that should start with a new Police Chief.

Princess Anne Shooting

I guess the warm weather would eventually stir things up and it looks like it started down in Princess Anne over the weekend. A victim was shot multiple times in the sommers place apartment complex but luckily his injuries were not life threatening. Lets hope this isn't the start of a summer of shooting all over Delmarva as let us remember here In Salisbury we had record Homicides in 48 hours.
