It becomes increasingly obvious that the death penalty in Maryland is a joke. It isn't much of a deterrent when people know it will never be carried out. It isn't the fault of our Prosecutors for not seeking it, it's the fact it costs so much more money to try those cases that will never result in their death because of the way things are in Maryland. I am a firm believer in the Death penalty but not when it's never going to be used for the purpose it was created for.
