Another Work Session??

The City Council has scheduled an additional work session for

Monday, April 25, 2011. The work session will be held at 1:30 p.m. in

Conference Room 306 of the Government Office Building (125 N.

Division Street) for discussion of Council’s priorities/suggestions.

Are you kidding me? They just had a 5 hour plus work session that accomplished absolutely nothing except causing dry mouth and drowsiness and they're ready for more. If your going to have Work Sessions that last this long at least come out with something to show for it other than indentations on your ass. Note To Terry lets put a little speed on.

PAC14 To Start Delivering City Council Meetings As Epic Mini Series Events

Well after the 5 hour, yes 5 hour work session pac14 should start airing all City Council meetings as epic mini series events. The plan is that after the 7th hour to take a break for other programming and throw up a to be continued message so people will anxiously wait to pick up on the other 3 hours they would have missed at the meeting. They are also going to be moving beds into the Council chambers for members to catch some sleep after the discussions go over 8 hours which I think is a great idea.

Public Input At Work Sessions

It is my opinion that it is a good idea to let citizens in attendance at work sessions speak on their concerns regarding the items in discussion. I think this is a good idea because if these people are going to take time out of their day to attend a boring work session they should have an opportunity to speak on the issue being discussed.
