Laura Mitchell Shows Individual Thought On Day 1

In a move that is sure to land her on the Camden shit list, Laura Mitchell showed exactly what I knew we would get from her and that is independent thought.  Her nay vote to Debbie Campbell as VP was awesome beyond words and shows she is in it for everyone and not just the Camden elite.

The Importance of the Tea Party

Progressives want higher taxes, more spending and more government. They also want to denigrate the tea parties and cause them to disappear. Throughout the machinations of last week the Democrats were eager to cast the tea parties as the face of all that is evil. Why? Because they’re scared to death of the tea partiers. Keep it up, folks. When I can be there and help, I’ll be there. This deal over the weekend was brought to you by your friendly local tea partiers. Without them the Republicans would not have been so determined and the progs so scared.

Spies Family Voting Issue

A question has arisen as to if any votes were cast by Tim Spies Daughter Emily in the last election. It would have made no difference I am aware of that, but there is a discrepancy. In the current list of registered voters in Salisbury Emily is listed at 414 Virginia avenue home of her father Tim, however in January of 2010 and as recently as March of 2011 she has gotten speeding tickets that list her address of being in Westover. I think this is something the Board of Elections should check into.

Towing Back On The Table

The Tow Truck Controversy will be back on a work session for the new City Council. This was my post on the matter from the past

I wanted to do a bit of research on the big towing scandal that rocked the City Council Work Session and wow did I learn a few things. There is something seriously wrong with what is going on and I am glad I got involved in this to get this information out.

Tindall's Towing is being shafted by the City Of Salisbury

The issue is Tow Truck Company Owners that own multiple companies. Tindall's followed the rules got approval from the City for the entire situation and hence bought new equipment to cover the expanded responsibility. Now it seems the other companies want to cry foul because they aren't getting their piece of the pie. Well Boo-Hoo guys its called he was smarter than you.

ASAP Towing and Gary Pusey Towing are Father and son. The same for 56th street towing and Parsons same company. Jim Ireton has already tried to break the rules by severing ties with Tindalls and the real kicker is the reason. During the snow storm a college kid got towed and his vehicle was put into the storage yard where it sat collecting fees for storage which ended up getting the bill to around 400 dollars. He then calls and bitches to Jim who immediately suspends all business with Tindalls for a week. This in turn ends up getting us to today. Jim is mad with Tindalls for towing the college kid and now wants to break any agreement with the company.Immaturity at its best. This is peoples livelihood we are talking about you have to be more mature.

Tindalls deserves respect and the City needs to stop trying to bend the rules when someone gets their feelings hurt. They want to cry free enterprise when it suits their purpose of payback.

Gary Comegys A True Hero To The Community

The moment of the night at the City Council re-organizational meeting was the speech Gary made on his years of service and his courageous battle with Cancer. Gary Comegys has been serving the City of Salisbury since 2003 and has seen our Community through alot of trying times. Gary teared up talking about his battle with Cancer and his love for his wife Debbie, and was hopeful that in the future he may be well enough to serve again

Gary Comegys is one of the nicest and down to earth people you will ever meet and we will miss his skills on the municipal level, and wish him a speedy recovery in his battle. Thank you Gary
