WICOMICO COUNTY EXECUTIVE ANNOUNCES 5^TH ANNUAL

BUDGET ‘PREVIEW’ MEETING

For Immediate Release

April 1, 2011

Salisbury, MD

Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr., announced today that he will hold his 5^th annual budget preview meeting on Thursday, April 7^th beginning at 7:00 P.M. in the Flanders Rooms of the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. As always, the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

“The budget for next year is still evolving,” commented Pollitt, “and I am eager to share the progress thus far with our citizens and solicit constructive ideas on how we might confront the formidable challenges that remain with us. As always, my primary goal and my highest responsibility is the delivery of quality government services at a price our community can afford and support.”

By Charter, Mr. Pollitt will submit his completed budget proposal to the Wicomico County Council on April 19^th. The Council may make cuts to the budget but cannot increase spending or move money between accounts.

Tax Hikes

Democrats want tax policy to be part of the debate over the 2012 budget. Great! I’m all up for a discussion over a way to overhaul our tax system. But apparently that isn’t what the progs have in mind. You know what’s coming here, don’t you? They want to force the Republicans to endorse tax increases on the filthy, vile, disgusting rich as a “compromise” to the Democrats agreeing on spending cuts. Does this sound like a fair tradeoff? The Republicans are trying to cut spending .. just a little! They’re not even talking about cutting spending down to 2008 levels when Obama took office .. we are talking about $30 billion in spending cuts in a budget of over $3 trillion. Let’s get real with this. There has been a 24% increase in non-defense discretionary spending since 2008, and that is excluding the Pelosi/Obama $850 billion economic stimulus plan from hell. But because the Democrats have come so far in their “compromising,” they now have their own demands: higher tax rates for millionaires, companies that move factories overseas and wealthy people who make charitable contributions. Democrat Senator Carl Levin says, “It’s fair that there’s a surtax on millionaires or that we not extend the upper brackets that the Bush administration got [for wealthy families].” Where would liberals and progs be without the word “fair?”

Facts? You want facts? Can we solve our economic woes by taxing these evil rich SOBs? Answer! No. We can’t. No way. Not gonna happen. Fact is, there just aren’t enough millionaires to solve our budget problems.

As we all expected there are many advertisers who have stopped paying for their ads on sbynews but Joe refuses to remove them to give the impression everyone is super happy to be a part of his destruction blog. I want the advertisers who have been paying him for their ads to answer, how does it feel to know others are getting a free ride while you have been paying for yours?

I also want to take a moment to respond to both Mike Lewis and Rob Mulford's comments regarding the situation.

Rob if Joe had attacked your family and wanted to out every detail and skeleton in your closet and posted the most vile things about your daughter if she were murdered like Sarah I can assure you you would despise all the advertisers on that site as helping promote him as well.

I also must respond to Mike Lewis stating he didn't think it was the time or place for Roberta's comments. Mike again like I just said to Rob, if your daughter were the one that the press conference was in reference to and Joe had done what he has done to the Foxwell family you are telling me you wouldn't take the perfect opportunity to tell the world of what he has done to your family? anyone that loves their family and been through what they have been put through would have done the same thing.

I think a big problem with these people is it is easy to sit back when it isn't you being attacked and not see the destruction that our blogs can do if they want, be victimized one time you would feel the same way. Joe has never said a bad word about Rob Mulford or Mike Lewis so they have no idea what its like.
