Dear 3rd Friday Fans,
ShamrockFriday, March 18, is "Luck of the Irish Day" in Downtown Salisbury as shops and galleries stay open late and artists and musicians gather in the Arts & Entertainment District to showcase their talents. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with participants displaying balloons at their front entrances.

Jason Giusti Glass SculptureThe City Center will be filled with live music, art exhibits, and a live pottery demonstration by Amused Studios.  Food will be available at the City Center and at downtown eateries.  Featured visual artist and Salisbury University graduate Jason Giusti will display his exquisite glass artistry. Portland, Oregon-based blues-rooted musician Will Fries - a native of Salisbury - will be the featured musician in collaboration with ever-popular local favorite Maureen Tambourine.

Irish DancersThe March 3rd Friday will salute the Irish and Irish at heart. To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council booth at City Center will feature a lively performance by the Footsteps Irish Dancers from the Footsteps Dance Academy, shamrock making, a "wearin' of the green" contest, and green refreshments.

The Art Institute and Gallery invites everyone to the opening reception for its Spring Juried Members Show and "Bob, the Big Bad Blue Fish" book signing by local author Bernadette Gesser and illustrator Sarah Grainer. Slim de Nunn and the High Rollers will perform their unique brand of blues and rock-n-rhythm-n-roll at "Friday Night Live at the Library" at 7:00 p.m. Season's Best Antiques will host a wine and cheese reception with live music and shopping specials. 
 
Happy St. Patrick's Day!There's fun for all ages at 3rd Friday. So don the green, wear those dancing shoes, and join the celebration in Downtown Salisbury.

Featured Artist Jason Giusti

Jason Giusti
Jason Giusti is a graduate of The Fulton School of Liberal Arts at Salisbury University, MD; with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Hot Glass.  That was in 2006.  Since then he has attended classes at the Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass.  His work experience includes an assistant at The Studio on 24 in Lewes, DE; and a teaching assistant/technician for the Hot Shop at Salisbury University.  Jason's work can be seen at Bishops Stock in Snow Hill, and Chesapeake East in Salisbury.  On the internet he can be found at www.glassartists.org/J.A.G  http://jasongiusti.30art.com/

Will Fries
Will FriesWill Fries is a Portland based singer-songwriter (and Salisbury Native) whose musical style evokes an instant connection with his audience.  His crisp lyrics and blues-rooted guitar illustrate the many facets of his artistic influences.  Always an intimate performer whatever the venue, Will's songs speak of a trove of personal experience that everyone can connect to. In addition to leading the band PAPER AIRPORT, Will has collaborated on projects with nationally renown producers including Rob Stroup (The Imprints, Tony Furtado), Adam Selzer (The Decemberists, M. Ward, Norfolk & Western), and co-written with folk songstress Amy Annelle, among many others. With his new project Will&theFutureTense he is quickly becoming a staple of the North West music scene.
