Kenny Loggins, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, America, The Marshall Tucker Band and Dionne Warwick.
While I admire the spirit of the event in helping to raise money for the United Way, I cannot think of very many people that would get excited to hear Psychic Dionne Warwick sing anything. I also wasn't sure why we couldn't get some local bands like Test Kitchen or The Larks to play since they are from the area. Let us hope that the future events draw bigger and better performers and allow for some homegrown talent to be displayed as well.

"The challenge for anyone who wishes to be part of the Camden Neighborhood Association, um, I mean the Salisbury City Council is simple: these two insufferable humans live, breathe, eat, and sleep this stuff. They have no other life. Therefore, they quite simply will outlast anyone. They believe, wrongly, that long meetings, long discussions, long delays, are what people want. They are very similar to an insurgency. An insurgency, such as the one assembled against US forces in Afghanistan, is able to do so well because they are committed - each and every day they wake up determined to out-do the US military. Campbell and Cohen and Spies and Albero and Kent and Truitt and Taylor and Hall and Harrison are the same way. They plot every day, every second, how to "win". Meanwhile, "normal" people who might decide to participate in the council, are simply trying to serve their time, and do the best they can. It's utterly exhausting trying to keep up with this crew. They win because they show up and drive everyone else mad. We lose because of that."

Let us face facts Salisbury residents, the Camden Association thinks they know what is best for the rest of us peasants in Salisbury. I have grave concerns about having too many representatives from that area telling the rest of us what is best for us. We need districting and we need it now. If Camden wants to control everything let them secede from Salisbury and have their own form of Government with the stepford wives running the show.
Get out and vote April 5th Salisbury and tell the Camden neighborhood to stick it up their $#!# holes.
You know I have no problem laughing at myself for stupidity and this post was the one. First I said succeed instead of secede and then pheasants instead of peasants..roflmao note to self lay off the albero juice and take more time to proof read..sorry everyone

If you are like me and want to bring downtown to life, but are tired of the lack of movement on our Government's part, take it upon yourself to invite businesses to take a look at us. I have contacted Macaroni grill and told them about our situation and what we need to get our Downtown area revitalized and invite you to do the same.
Click here and send them a message telling them why we would love to have them make Salisbury a place to call home. We do not need the City to make this happen and as private citizens we can help make it a reality with the best thing we have..our voice

With all the recent flurry of activity surrounding the building of the new Bennett Middle School and Rick Pollitt deciding to form a group to look into other funding avenues, the question should be asked should we reconsider and proceed with the process?
I have stated I was against the project because of the current economic issues we are facing, but when the 2 most highly respected members of the County Council Bob Caldwell and Sheree Sample Hughes vote in favor of it, a second look at the matter was warranted.
If the conditions in the current Bennett middle are as bad as described with no air, crowding and handicapped accessibility problems than maybe Rick is right. If you have a child that goes there and they have complained about the situation please leave a comment here so we can get the full information about what the deal really is inside the School.
