Joe Albero Looking Forward To Profiting Off Sarah Foxwell Murder

What could Joe Albero do to be even worse than the other day?? Well tell the world he plans on profiting on Sarah's murder and telling the world what Jennifer Foxwell is planning to do with her unborn child.

"Each and every day of these hearings I have multiple pages of detailed notes. Will I share those notes with you on this Blog, no. Perhaps one day I'll help write a book with a Family Member and tastefully put out the information compiled."

Dr Lynn Duffy For Pocomoke Mayor

Dr. Lynn Duffy is pleased to officially announce filing for Pocomoke City Mayoral elections. Her vision is to 'Revitalize Pocomoke City"! Duffy is a resident and successful Pocomoke business owner the last 8 of a 24 year career and recognized expert in her field by wellness community (www.wellness.com), offers on-line services and more than a year ago her counseling and mediation/consultation practice relocated to the heart of Downtown Pocomoke. A most important role to her is as mother to Launa Ashley, who celebrated her 23rd birthday on the day Duffy filed to run for Pocomoke Mayor. Launa Ashley completes her first year in graduate studies in a few months pursuing a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling with Liberty University.

Duffy filed for office stating her daughter, and others, are some of the reasons she prayerfully considered running for Mayor. The children and youth of our community are significant reasons and there are several more. She questions the direction our community is going, more importantly the dramatic increase of projected expenses from 2010 for 2011 from 7.3 million to 10.6 million and the town’s repeated issue of crime. Duffy believes the deaths last year of young people was needless and the town needs to not look away or hold meetings discussing events but deal directly with proactive steps developing a plan of action. Duffy’s campaign team, organized with prayerful consideration, consists of Launa Ashley, Campaign Manager; Edean Bundick of Bundick Law Office in Virginia, Treasurer; Donna Hardin, Web Manager; and Bishop Isaac Jenkins, Chaplain; and several Prayer Warriors.

Duffy has a servant’s heart for our community and as business owner and grant writer for nonprofits, she respects the need in Pocomoke City for business to encourage job growth and points to several businesses leaving town, including our downtown business area. Duffy believes although our ‘compass’ may be pointing in a direction, she questions the direction. At a time when families are not eating out nearly as much and if at all, businesses are struggling, and county appraisals of homes decreased recently, she is concerned with the town increasing the projected 2011 expenses by almost 50%. Duffy is hearing from other residents and business persons the community needs to address reduction of crime by proactive & preventive steps with a plan of action, less government reclaiming a budget that increases expenses by 50% from 2010 to 2011, encourage public input AND a public informed with increased collaboration, and foster a business friendly ‘climate’ encouraging job growth. Duffy, a Board Member for Save the Youth, Inc., is assisting with meetings to continue progress on a Strategic Plan for the organization.

Duffy offers she is not a ‘politician’ with ambitions to ‘step higher in politics’, but is one to speak up to question issues such as the town's direction, large increase in expenses, and crime. She listens and hears many feel our town has lost touch with the 'core' of what makes Pocomoke City great. Duffy was ordained in 2008 as a Minister in community service and received an Honorary Doctor of Ministry in 2008, Lighthouse Counseling is affiliated with the U.N.T.C., Int'l (an international ministry association) and Duffy serves as President-Elect of the Pocomoke Ministerial Association. She desires to work for a better tomorrow and affirms Real People NEED Real Solutions!”

Reaganomics

Ronald Reagan managed to pull our country out of a ditch with simple logical solutions to foster growth. For one, he understood that taxes change behavior, and changed behavior costs tax revenue. Knowing this to be true, Reagan dropped the tax rate on unearned income from 70% to 28%. He also lowered our corporate tax rates from 46% to 34%. What happened as a result? From the WSJ: "The highest 1% of income earners paid more in taxes as a share of GDP in 1988 at lower tax rates than they had in 1980 at higher tax rates." That's right ... MORE tax revenue from the evil rich when tax rates were lowered. Why? Because their economic activity increased as the reward became greater. Yet, we currently have a president who, when presented similar facts about capital gains taxes, said that he would STILL raise them "for the purposes of fairness." This isn't good economics ... this is left-wing, Marxist, redistribute-the-wealth thinking.
Another thing that Ronald Reagan did was decrease regulations imposed by our imperial federal government: understanding that regulation compliance costs money and stifles growth. Reagan managed to slash the number of pages in the Federal Register from 80,000 in 1980 to 48,000 in 1986. Meanwhile, ObamaCare alone will add over 6,000 pages to our Federal Register. In 2010, the Obama administration implemented 43 new regulations (that's just regulations, not pages in the Federal Register) at a cost to our economy of $26.5 billion, according to the Heritage Foundation.
How did things turn out for Ronald Reagan?
From December 1982 to June 1990, Reaganomics created over 21 million jobs-more jobs than have been added since. Union membership and man-hours lost due to strikes tumbled. The stock market went through the roof. From July 1982 through August 2000, the S&P 500 stock price index grew at an average annual real rate of over 12%. The unfunded liabilities of the Social Security system declined as a share of GDP, and the "misery index" fell to under 10%.
How are things working out for Barak Obama? Just look around.

Has a Somerset County Commissioners Secretary Been Fired For Embezzlement?

Has a Somerset County Commissioners Secretary Been Fired For Embezzlement?

I have received word from a source that a Somerset County Commissioners Secretary has been fired for using the County Credit card and the position is in the paper. Obviously this info will be hard to get anyone to talk about, but this is interesting intel

Home Schooling is on the Rise

Here's a promising statistic I have read. Are you ready for it? "Across the county, an estimated 1.5 million children are home schooled and that number's growing. In the span of eight years, home schooling has grown nationally by almost 75 percent." In the public appearances we have made over the year it has become more and more easy to recognize - and to recognize quickly - when we're talking to a home-schooled young person. The poise, the use of language, the inquisitiveness and the level of understanding they show when you engage them in conversation ... what a difference from the normal government-educated child.
Anything that we can do to get our children out of the hands of government will be better for the future of this Republic.

Protect Marriage Maryland Meeting

Do you Support Traditional Marriage?
Are you aware that traditional marriage is about to be redefined in the state of Maryland?
In Maryland’s State Legislature, a bill which would bring same-sex “marriage” to Maryland is expected to pass in the next month.
Some things you should know
·         Same-sex marriage has been defeated in all 31 states where citizens have been allowed to vote on it.
·          In several areas the courts and/or the legislatures in these areas have prevented the people from voting on the issue.
·         Most voters in Maryland are not aware of where their Delegates and Senators stand on the definition of marriage, and therefore the legislature cannot legitimately represent the People of Maryland by passing laws to re-define marriage.
·         Maryland's current Governor, Martin O'Malley, has declared his willingness to sign a law for gay marriage if one should be sent to his desk according to a Washington Post article September 9, 2010

Vote: Bobby Brittingham Pocomoke City Council District # 3

My name is Bobby Brittingham and I am running for the office of City Council District # 3.  As a retired law enforcement officer and a resident of Pocomoke City I strongly feel it is time for me to give back to my community that has given so much to me over the years. I have witnessed first hand things that have been overlooked in our city and that are in need of enforcement and repair. On April 6th please come out and vote for me.
Profile:
Bobby Brittingham is a 1977 graduate of Pocomoke High School, a 1984 graduate of Woodstock Community College, Woodstock Md. a 1987 graduate of Wor-Wic Community College (Maryland Police Academy). He is also an Honorable Discharged Veteran of the United States Marine Corps (1977-1984).  He is also a member of the Pocomoke City Elks Lodge, and the State Lodge of the American Legion, and a member of the Maryland Patriot Guard Motorcycle group which rides for our veterans. He is an active member of Walker Memorial Church in Princess Anne Md. He is also an active member and participates in the Marine Corps Marathon each year in Washington D.C. in which he and his family help to raise money for the wounded warrior program. He is married to his wife Teresa for 26 years, and he has a son Jason and a daughter Jessica.
Community:
1)    To enforce the City Charter, on abandon and/or unsafe housing or businesses. To enforce the owners to repair the property of forfeit the property over to the city for auction.
2)    To continue the growth of our downtown but maintain the old charm
3)    To enforce the cleaning of Rail Road Avenue of unsafe buildings
4)    To request the Maryland State Highway to repair the US 13 river bridge of all the ruts and potholes.
5)    To negotiate with store owners who have vacate buildings, to offer what is called a Rent Amnesty to persons who want to start a small business but cannot at this time afford the stores rent. This has worked well in Dorchester County.
6)    To negotiate with the property owners of the old Roses Building. The building is in need of major repairs from inside and the building is unsafe. I would encourage the owners to demolish the building so that smaller businesses can be built such as the one already there, or repair the property.
7)    To speak with the Army Corps of Engineers on ways to save the Cypress Park from flooding and erosion. To discuss the possibility of a bulkhead put in place to further prevent erosion.
8)    To continue support of our police department in their effort to combat crime.
Summary:
There is much work that needs to be done  in our community that has been over looked for a long time. I feel that the unsafe buildings and businesses are dangerous and these abandon buildings cause other problems such as people living or hanging out in them. The use of alcohol and drugs are also being used in the vacant buildings. I will ask that the owners repair the buildings or business or face the risk of forfeiting their properties. If the property was forfeited then it could be auctioned off by the city, and the money then could be used to help support our non-profit organizations such as the Save the Youth Programs, Samaritan Shelter, and Neighbor Watch Programs. This would help save taxpayers money and in return support our citizens. Over all I would like to see responsible business owners and land owners use their properties is a way that would further benefit them and their community through revitalization.
I feel new ideas are needed in our town and the further enforcement of our present laws. As a citizen I have seen the neglect of our town each year. I will work hard to listen to my district’s ideas and concern while staying active in achieving my goals. I truly believe that I, along with those around me can revitalize Pocomoke City back to its nostalgic bustling self.
