Orioles reliever Alfredo Simon is the "main suspect" in a killing in the Dominican Republic, according to the Associated Press .
According to a police statement, Simon shot and killed 25-year-old Michel Castillo Almonte and wounded his 17-year-old brother during a celebration on New Year's Eve in the town of Luperon.
Orioles official Felipe Alou Jr., said Simon insists he was not involved.
