Baltimore picks up Reynolds from Arizona. It's a wrap.

Baltimore just agreed to trade David Hernandez and Kam Mickolio to Arizona for Mark Reynolds. Reynolds had a down year last year and still smacked over 30 homeruns. He would probably put 50 up in Camden. Good job MacPhail. 3rd base is done. Now sign Konerko or Lee for 1st and trade for a short stop named Hardy.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is defending the Fed's decision to borrow $600 billion to help stimulate the struggling economy, saying it's possible the Fed might spend even more.

In an interview aired Sunday on CBS-TV's "60 Minutes," Bernanke rejected criticism, some it coming from Republican congressional leaders, that the $600 billion second round of "quantitative easing" or QE2, risked triggering inflation.

"Is keeping inflation in check less of a priority for the Federal Reserve now?" asked reporter Scott Pelley.

"No, absolutely not," said Bernanke "What we're trying to do is achieve a balance. We've been very, very clear that we will not allow inflation to rise above 2 percent."

And if inflation goes above 2%? No worries! The Fed will simply jack up interest rates, thus adding to the interest we have to pay on our debt and exacerbating the deficit crisis, not to mention slowing economic growth even more than it is today.

But don't worry. Everything is under control. Our economy is being steered by a wizard who can command into being hundreds of billions of dollars simply by waving his magic pen.

What could go wrong?

Kristy Hickman =Sore Loser

You know it's one thing to have a reputation of being less than friendly and snotty, it is another matter entirely when you refuse to even speak to the person that defeated you in an election. According to the story in the Daily Times over the weekend Kristy Hickman is having nothing to do with Dan Powell and I guess she is just planning to leave the keys on her desk and leave 5 minutes before he gets sworn in.

Kristy needs to have more respect for the office she is holding and show some class by helping Dan get ready to tackle the cases before him and to protect the citizens of Somerset County. I know there is no love loss between Joel Todd and Beau but Joel is thinking of the people he has been protecting for 20+ years and helping get Beau prepared. Davis Ruark the same thing.

Shame on you Kristy for allowing your hurt feelings to blind you to the fact you are hurting the citizens of Somerset and not Dan Powell.
