Sam Hale: Candidate for Maryland GOP Chair

Sam Hale answers a few questions:

AB: Why do you consider yourself a tea party candidate?

Sam Hale: “I consider myself a tea party candidate because I have founded and run my own tea party group. I feel like I can legitimately say to tea party activists that “I am one of them,” and I am proud to.”

AB: What must the tea party do in order to make the MDGOP a viable party in Maryland?

Sam Hale: “In order to make the GOP a viable party again the Tea Party must take an active role in leveling the playing field between Democrats and Republicans. Nothing would be more effective at doing this than the grassroots activism provided by the tea party. In order to do this, however, the GOP must send a more conservative message. The Tea Party can’t, and won’t support a left-leaning party. The Tea Party can make the GOP viable again but it is up to the GOP to send the right message to inspire them. Hopefully electing “one of their own” to the chair position will send that message. “

Great Community Events This Weekend

Do Not Forget Friday night is the Community Tree Lighting Downtown starting at 5pm and Saturday Night is the lighting of the Winter Wonderland of Lights in the park starting at 5. I am looking forward to both of these events and will see you there.

Is it just a movement?

It is time that Maryland, the Eastern Shore and Salisbury kicked out the establishment and the big government politicians. It is time for all forms of government to act like representatives and not tyrants.

No Longer Slums Just Problem Properties

I was over checking out the City website and noticed they are not calling them "slum properties" of the week anymore and are just calling them Problem Properties. I had said all along the language of slum on a City website was not a good way to encourage people to want to live here so at least that has changed.

Always wear clean underwear in public, especially when working under your vehicle...From the Northwest Florida Daily News comes this story of a Crestview couple who drove their car to Wal-Mart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot.

The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot. The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis.

Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underpants turned private parts into glaringly public ones. Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts, and tucked everything back into place.

She took a deep breath and stood up boldly to face the crowd. She looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband, who had been standing idly by.

The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead.

The TSA kills

The recent public ire toward the TSA’s new pat-down and body imaging screening methods is likely to cause more people to drive automobiles and forego airline travel, say two transportation economists who have studied the issue.

As the nation readies for one of the busiest traveling holidays, Steven Horwitz, a professor of economics at St. Lawrence University, told The Hill that the probable spike in road travel, caused by adverse feelings towards the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) new screening procedures, could also lead to more car-related deaths.

“Driving is much more dangerous than flying, as you are far more likely to be killed in an automobile accident mile-for-mile than you are in an airplane,” said Horwitz. “The result will be that the new TSA procedures will kill more Americans on the highway.”

How many terrorists has the TSA stopped with its groping and scanning? Answer: zero.

What Happened To The Eddie Plank Cross On 13 South?

I remember a cross being at the bridge near where he was shot and killed and I have noticed it is no longer there but further down they have a Eddie Plank/ Eric Monk sign in front of the MSP Barrack. Is the cross no longer put at the location and been replaced with the sign?
