Open Forum - Wicomcio County Council & Executive
OPEN FORUM
With Rick Pollitt's re-election and what looks to be a 6-1 majority for Republicans on the Council (pending the second round of absentees and if Bob Caldwell can hold his 6 vote lead), Mr. Pollitt will have his hands full the next for years.
What do you predict will happen and what will this Council and Pollitt accomplish?

New Chief to begin next week
Our new Police Chief will take over next week. There are many challenges she will have to face and it is sure to be a daunting task.
The gangs and drugs are out of control. Our police force is stretched thin and there is no money available to hire more officers. There is gridlock in our governement and no changes until next spring.
The Chief of Police is often the most thankless and targeted job in the city. The position is one that has always caused political divisions in Salisbury. It is unfortunate that the Chief's position should be so politicized, however that is the reality of Salisbury.
Hopefully the new Chief is able to work and rise above all of the nonsense and be effective.
