Be Here Tomorrow For The Main Round

Tomorrow is the day that I talk about the races that are the most important to me, and to talk about not only the people I support, but the people I have the most issues with running in this election. It is vital that you know the full facts about the people running for Office that do not deserve your vote.

Maryland Senate District 38

This race as well came down to experience for me. Jim Mathias has served in so many different roles as a Civic Leader from Mayor to Delegate and has the much needed experience I think that is required for Annapolis. Michael James is a good man and if he were to win I have no doubt he would serve the community well, I just like Jim in this one because of all the Leadership roles he has already been in.

Wicomico County Council At Large

The reason I am supporting Matt and Dave are because in my mind they represent the two perfect candidates to replace the leaving John Cannon and Bill McCain. I think it is important to have that mix of conservative and liberal and Matt and Dave are the 2 best candidates running that represent that to me. Matt Holloway is a bright young star in our local political arena and someone we should all be proud of to have represent us.

Somerset County State's Attorney

Let us get to the point on this controversial race, the reason I support Dan Powell over Kristy Hickman is for one reason alone..professionalism.

Regardless of how many times Kristy gets on TV or on the web and states that her Office door is always open I happen to know otherwise that she does not handle herself in a very professional manner and this comes from peers in both the Legal and Law enforcement professions. You may know a different Kristy because she likes you, but I can tell you a very different cross section of people have all told me the same thing about her unprofessional behavior.

I believe Dan Powell can bring the Professionalism back to the Somerset County State's Attorney

Wicomico County Executive

If Joe Ollinger had run four years ago for the newly created position of County Executive he would have my vote and full support, however the voters elected Rick Pollitt and it is under his leadership that the ship set sail. That ship has hit some rough seas but Rick has kept that ship moving forward even with holes in the sides and a rip in the sail and for that he must be commended.

I just don't think now is a good time for a new Captain to take over with the boat in the shape that it is, and I would feel better knowing the one that knows all the creaks and moans from the ship is still at the helm until we get into safer waters.

Governor of Maryland

Simple and to the point I am voting for Susan Gaztanaga to help the Libetarian party stay on the ballot. If you were asking me to pick between O'Malley and Ehrlich I would vote for O'Malley because Bob Ehrlich I thought sucked as a Governor the first time and most certainly do not want him a second. O'Malley may not be the best either but he is the lesser of the two evils.

State Delegate 38A

This is the one that I have gotten the most flak about and I am going to lay it out very simply why I am supporting Mike and it has nothing to do with an ad.

I was very much behind and supportive of Charles in the Primary after Julie lost, and had done zero research on Mike or talked to him because he was running unopposed. I asked Mike to come up for an interview for my pac14 tv show and it was then that he convinced me he was the better person for the job. He had no ad on my site at that point and was just a guest on my show .

I told Mike while he was here that I was a supporter of Charles, but that my biggest complaint was he was a very soft spoken guy. Mike then talked to me about his experience which is far greater than Charles since he has served at some level of Government and he is a much better talker in my opinion. Mike also is a perfect representative of the Eastern Shore way of life which is another reason I liked Charles. When I factored in those things it was clear to me that Mike would better represent us in Annapolis.

This isn't personal toward Charles as he is a great guy, it is just my belief that Mike would do a better job representing us.

State Delegate 38B

Gee Williams is an incredible individual and if you look at his accomplishments in Berlin you will see it is a no brainer to vote for him to represent us in Annapolis. He has reduced Berlin's debt by 1.9 million dollars since being elected and 15 new businesses have opened in Berlin as well.

Berlin is also one of the safest places on the shore thanks to Gee working with Worcester County State's Attorney Joel Todd with his recognized successful crime and drug plan. Gee Williams is the best candidate running in this race, I am sorry if that offends anyone but what he brings to the table isn't matched by any of the others.

Marty Pusey represents the Conservative voice that I also believes needs to represent us. This one is close for me I will admit with Norm Conway but I am a firm believer in having both sides at the table.

Explaining My Picks

I want to try to explain my reasoning behind each of my picks throughout the day. These are of course all my opinion only and if you feel otherwise it's all good we will never agree on everything. I do wish sometime people would realize that these sites are opinionated and not get so enraged with something I say or someone I support. We are all entitled to our opinions and you know what if I don't publish the comment you leave because I feel it attacks the person I am supporting remember it is my website.
