Gang Awareness Seminar A Great First Step

I was very happy to see the huge turnout last night, according to the Daily Times it was around 400 people for the gang awareness seminar. Having parents take more interest in their children and look for certain signs they are headed in the wrong direction is one of the best tools available.

Salisbury sits at a crossroads that allows the criminal element the perfect place to set up shop. Drug traffickers bringing the goods from the South to the bigger Cities like Philly and New York take 13 which goes right through the heart of our good city. ECI sits 25 miles or so South of us so when Prisoners are released they would naturally gravitate to the City bringing with them the gang knowledge either learned in prison or brought with them prior to being incarcerated.

The City core is at its heart a poor area much like Philly or Baltimore which allows these groups to quickly build membership for quick money. We need to have more of these seminars for Parents and the Community at large to keep the public informed of all the latest news regarding these groups.
