"The whole idea is to close loopholes. Im not saying Tindalls,Puseys, Parsons or anyone for that matter, cant operate multiple companies. I'm saying that only one should be allowed on the police rotation. As I said before, the City has no "owners request" when your vehicle must be towed. They call the next available on the list. So, if one man owns say 5 companies, he gets 5 slots on the rotation to everyone elses one, and since the motorist is not allowed to choose his own company then only one of those 5 companies should be on the list to keep it fair to all towing companies. You and I both know that there is not enough private sector towing to sustain 30 companies in Salisbury. That being said the only reason the secondary towing co's open is strictly for the police generated call. Thats a fact. If they allow it to keep going the way it is going now there will be 50 + companies on this list. 50 companies that SPD will have to track, monitor, discipline, etc.. and they cant keep up with the 27 they have now. Most of the talk is now over price gouging. The Mayor started all that when people called and complained about their tow bills to him and his office and the SPD. Some of the bills were extremely high and some were right where they should have been. It'll all come out in the end whose bills were highest and whose were lowest. The thing people fail to see is that if they allow more and more companies onto this list the price for average towing will surely skyrocket, as it has already, because the volume folks had before is down a lot and the overhead stays the same. Damned if you do, damned if you dont. "

Something Fishy Going On In The Towing World..REPOST

I wanted to do a bit of research on the big towing scandal that rocked the City Council Work Session and wow did I learn a few things. There is something seriously wrong with what is going on and I am glad I got involved in this to get this information out.

 Tindall's Towing is being shafted by the City Of Salisbury along with Debbie Campbell, Terry Cohen and Jim Ireton. What I find most disturbing is that an advertiser on sbynews automedic seems to have alot to say about the towing scene and have the ear of a certain Councilwoman that we know has ties to guess who..Joe Albero.

The issue is Tow Truck Company Owners that own multiple companies. Tindall's followed the rules got approval from the City for the entire situation and hence bought new equipment to cover the expanded responsibility. Now it seems the other companies want to cry foul because they aren't getting their piece of the pie. Well Boo-Hoo guys its called he was smarter than you. It was highly disgusting that Debbie Campbell read aloud emails moaning about the arrangement Tindalls has with the City.

ASAP Towing and Gary Pusey Towing are Father and son. The same for 56th street towing and Parsons same company. Jim Ireton has already tried to break the rules by severing ties with Tindalls and the real kicker is the reason. During the snow storm a college kid got towed and his vehicle was put into the storage yard where it sat collecting fees for storage which ended up getting the bill to around 400 dollars. He then calls and bitches to Jim who immediately suspends all business with Tindalls for a week.This in turn ends up getting us to today. Jim is mad with Tindalls for towing the college kid and now wants to break any agreement with the company.Immaturity at its best. This is peoples livelihood we are talking about you have to be more mature.

I again find it VERY disturbing the relationship between Gary Pusey, Automedic, sbynews and Debbie Campbell. Tindalls deserves respect and the City needs to stop trying to bend the rules when someone gets their feelings hurt. They want to cry free enterprise when it suits their purpose of payback. Why don't you give Debbie Campbell and Terry Cohen some real email to read out loud telling them how disgusting they are for trying to do this to an honest hard working company.

Arrest AT GOB Update

The arrest of Susan Wood yesterday at the GOB was due to evidently theft of office supplies that were then being resold for profit. I just don't understand how in today's society with the shortage of jobs as it is that an employee would risk their job and financial security to make a few extra bucks off of things like that. I have no sympathy for her because she knew what she was doing was wrong, but to be led out of the building in handcuffs is not the way to live your life.

Thanking Davis Ruark For His Service

I want to show some respect to Davis Ruark by acknowledging his work and dedication he has given to us In Wicomico County for over 20+years. Davis has turned into a controversial figure since 2008 but it can't make us forget the dedicated service he provided. I will not allow any negative comments about Davis in this post, but if you would like to say a thank you and acknowledge his service to the community this is the place.

I talked with Davis last night and told him I had worked well with him and told him I was going to vote for Matt regardless, but did want to thank him for his service to victims in Wicomico County that he has helped along the way. It is a shame in life that we can make a mistake or two and people will quickly forget about the other good you may have done at one time but that's sadly the way it is in politics.

John Phoebus Signs Disappear Overnight

Like thieves in the night the John Phoebus campaign workers went out as soon as the election results were over and removed the vast majority of Phoebus signs. I guess John  didn't want to remind people he had spent tons of cash on the campaign and had failed miserable at it. Good thing is they are gone for the most part except for the ones that were in the wrong District and the eyesore Billboards which will soon be gone as well.

Beau Oglesby Sends A Spy To Joel Todd Meet and Greet

In what is the most disgusting display I have ever seen from a politician to date, Beau Oglesby sent the guy to his right Nick to Joel Todd's meet and greet last night where he admitted he was "special friends" with Beau and his wife, and was going to dinner with them. He told people that's what he was there for, and I have to say one other disturbing thing about it.

 Nick is a very nice guy and I liked him, he has a disability of some sort and for Beau Oglesby to use him like that is disgusting to the extreme. Nick went up to every person and was asking them their name and while I was sitting beside him he called Anne Oglesby..I mean come on. Beau next time you want a list of people that are at Joel Todd events why not be a man and come find out yourself, or better yet I will get the names for you and send them to you so you can quit using people in your pathetic attempt to win The State's Attorney race. You have zero class Beau and I didn't think much of you before, but you went from the gutter to the gutter trash with that move.

Welcome To The Salisbury Circus Starring Ringmaster Jim Ireton

Last night we were treated to the Salisbury Circus with Ringmaster Jim Ireton. The public showed up and many supporters of SAPOA as well. I hope Jim will think about airing this on PAC14 because honestly I don't think he wants more people to see him talking down to citizens asking questions or interrupting them like he did when he didn't like the way the question was going. The funny part is it really became the let us get Terry Cohen in the spotlight for her upcoming election show. Debbie Campbell was a quiet as a church mouse but Terry had her key turned the maximum amount and talked and talked.

The problem I have always had with those three is they complained about the way they felt the citizens were treated under Barrie Tilghman but yet when in power they do the same things. Jim Ireton was rude to several people, was condescending at times and again if this whole process is only for political reasons and not to help the City why do we need the Drama. The Legislative package as written is not fair, it may have potential if Jim would sit with the leaders (SAPOA) and come up with ideas they could both work with, but this package is flawed and will result in so many lawsuits if it passes the City could go bankrupt. Jim please think of the City and not your ego and take a step back and do this correctly.

Joel Todd Meet and Greet

This was a very nice and relaxing event with good friends and conversations. I was looking forward to this after the elections were over to just have a few minutes to breathe. Everyone in attendance are first class people and I am proud to call them my friends. Lynn Doddenhoff was also there to show her support for Joel and it was nice to see her again and spend time with her on a happier occasion. One very highly disturbing thing happened however but will save that for another post so as not to ruin the good feeling of this post. Joel Todd is the real deal and the only choice for Worcester County.
