Grill Safely This Labor Day
Salisbury Fire Department Reminds of Grilling Safety For
Labor Day Weekend
Fire in the grill, under hot dogs and burgers, is a welcome sight at the family cookout. But fire anywhere else can make your end of summer barbecue memorable for all the wrong reasons.
Safety tips
• Propane and charcoal BBQ grills should only be used outdoors.
• The grill should be placed well away from the home, deck railings and out from under eaves and overhanging branches.
• Keep children and pets away from the grill area.
• Keep your grill clean by removing grease or fat buildup from the grills and in trays below the grill.
• Never leave your grill unattended.
Charcoal grills
• There are several ways to get the charcoal ready to use. Charcoal chimney starters allow you to start the charcoal using newspaper as a fuel.
• If you use a starter fluid, use only charcoal starter fluid. Never add charcoal fluid or any other flammable liquids to the fire.
• Keep charcoal fluid out of the reach of children and away from heat sources.
• There are also electric charcoal starters, which do not use fire. Be sure to use an extension cord for outdoor use.
• When you are finished grilling, let the coals completely cool before disposing in a metal container.
Propane grills
Check the gas tank hose for leaks before using it for the first time each year. Apply a light soap and water solution to the hose. A propane leak will release bubbles. If your grill has a gas leak, by smell or the soapy bubble test, and there is no flame, turn off the gas tank and grill. If the leak stops, get the grill serviced by a professional before using it again. If the leak does not stop, call the fire department. If you smell gas while cooking, immediately get away from the grill and call the fire department. Do not move the grill.
Remember, grills are illegal on apartment and condominium balconies. Please use fire safe grilling this Labor Day weekend and all summer! Make it fun and safe for everyone.

Grassroots Candidate?
He has already spent 5,000 Grassroots lol, Chris Lewis is grassroots and who really represents that idea.
Bobby Jones Son In Big Trouble
These charges against Bobby Jones's son Jay were brought against him by Emily Ridgeway who was in the car with Bobby Jones the night he allegedly backed into Donna Pusey. What a tangled web we weave.
Who are the Final 6 Candidates For The Chief Of Police Job?
We know Ivan Barkley and Ernie Leatherbury are on the list but who are the other 4? I would like to think that Mark Tyler would be considered.
Bobby Jones Putting Signs Up Without Permission REPOST
It seems Bobby Jones has had deputies placing signs upon property that did not give them permission to do so. These people are frightened to complain out of fear of retaliation. What is wrong with you Bobby? It also seems Bobby is nailing his signs to utility poles. I didn't think this was legal. Citizens in Somerset please don't live like this anymore and make sure you elect Allan Webster for Sheriff.
I reposted this because for some reason a few of the comments went into the spam folder and I got emails and comments asking why I didn't publish so I wanted to give them a second chance.

Investigation revealed that Rahymeen Barber sexual abused the victim beginning in June 2003, until April 2009.
The matter was tried to a jury on September 1 & 2, 2010, before the Honorable Donald C. Davis. The jury found Ingram guilty on nine counts - 1 count of child sexual abuse, 1 count of second degree rape, 1 count of second degree sexual offense 3 counts of third degree sexual offense, and 3 counts of second degree assault.

Davis R. Ruark, State’s Attorney for Wicomico County, states:
“This is another example of the fine work of the investigators, social workers, therapists and the Assistant State’s Attorney assigned to handle child abuse victims. The CAC concept continues to work well to effectively and efficiently prosecute child sexual offenders. We are blessed to have such a fine Center, S.A.R.A.H.’s House, to professionally handle cases of child abuse. The citizens of Wicomico County have one of the most effective Child Advocacy Centers in the entire region. As State’s Attorney I can’t say enough about the work they do. As a result, the victim in this case has a hope for a normal life. Victims deserve all of our support.”
