St Francis De Sales Community Carnival This Weekend

Julie Brewington Under Attack Gee What Else Is New?

As if this is some big shock sbynews has once again gone after Julie Brewington with tabloid journalism at it's best. If Joe wonders why I have passed him in readership all he has to do is look at his latest garbage post. Never mind the points Julie talked about to help the Shore and the great discussions occurring the only thing he can get excited about??talking about Julie's children yet again.

Julie did not leave her child in the care of a known sex offender, she was in an adjoining room with other people mind you. I love the globe news coverage making it sound like Julie was offering her daughter up to Gary as a prize. The man shows up to the meeting and sits in the room with other people and because Julie's child was there it becomes this shocking story. What a joke you are Joe.

City Council Meeting War Zone

Wow last night was certainly a high emotion night with lots of accusations being thrown at each other regarding this Legislative Package Jim Ireton wants brought to a vote before Thanksgiving. Without getting into the drama I would rather have people go read the Package themselves by clicking here. I am going to look at this very closely in the next hour or so and will have a post about it soon. If you read it let me know what you think about the ideas.

Chipman Cultural Center Should Be Saved

Last night at the City Council meeting the Council voted to approve funding the repairs needed to help The Chipman Cultural Center reopen for events and keep it safe for visitors. I have had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful old building and whatever it takes to save it must be done. The historical significance is incredible Laura D'Alessandro reports in the Daily Times today as Frederick Douglass himself came here in 1880 to rally support for the 2nd floor.

I hope more Salisbury and Wicomico County resident take the time out of their lives at some point to go visit this place as it really is a historical treasure on the eastern shore.
