I had forgotten that I wanted to make note of the article in the Daily Times regarding that a burglary increase is expected in Salisbury and wanted to know when we can expect the written letters of apology to Chief Webster from Cohen, Campbell , McIver, Albero, Ireton, Lewis and many others of course for the constant complaining that crime was all his fault.
Mike Lewis and his "rock the criminals world" bs statement really now makes him look even more the fool. Someday when these people are gone maybe civility will return.

Children Have It Easy

I still laugh whenever I see or hear kids today talking to their parents with such disrespect and the fact that these children know that now Parents cannot beat their little rude butts for talking back to them. I had this conversation over the weekend that when I was growing up the Principal would and could take his wooden paddle and leave a not so friendly reminder that you probably shouldn't do whatever you did again.
If a Principal even mentioned a paddle now he would be locked up on about 5 charges and the School would be sued for child abuse, and yet the funny thing is all of us who remember getting spanked or whatever the discipline was in your home ,for the most part didn't turn out any worse for wear, and we learned valuable lessons. I most certainly am not talking about abuse here, I am talking about just plain old fashioned home discipline.
Kids now get time outs and go to your room, which unless you take away their Nintendo or TV is more like a fun time.I cannot wait until the current kids have kids and see how they enjoy having it turned on them.
Sbynews Threatens Candidates Who Won't Do His Show

In his announcement of offering to do interviews with candidates running for office he actually has the nerve to ever so subtlety threaten them if they don't. He says if they choose not to do an interview the public will know about it. Julie Brewington, Mike Calpino and Chris Lewis can tell you what that means. It is for this reason I am going to set up some in person interviews for my readers and you know what if they don't want to be interviewed I will still support their efforts as we are fair on this site. I ask all local politicians to please don't let him intimidate you into interviews. If you feel it necessary to do it be my guest but do it because you actually think Joe Albero can help you.
Finalizing Questions For Candidates

I am in the process of finalizing my questions for Candidates running for office and would like my readers to send me any they would like to have answered as well. Comment is fine and I will store them and add the best ones.
Thanks

Residential Sprinkler Discussion with Former Chief David See

With the Discussion regarding Residential Sprinkler Systems at the City Council meeting last night, I decided to get an opinion from former Fire Chief David See on the matter. It was a great conversation and I learned many interesting things.Below are Chief See's thoughts on the matter.
"It was one of the things i wanted to implement as FC as a part of the statewide initiative. I was working with the MSFA sprinkler committee. However, the Council created too much other "busy" work for and we never got far with it. Its a good thing for both citizens and FFs. We had hoped it would ultimately, sometime way in the future, help to reduce operating times and costs, and enable the FD to focus efforts and funding on education and prevention instead of and over abundance of suppression activities.
A number of communities have required sprinklers for over 20 years with a dramatic reduction in fire losses and deaths in sprinklered buildings. Additionally, with sprinklers on the job 24/7/365 its like having a FF on duty in your home. Also, since sprinklers usually extinguish most of the fire, FDs can clear the scene sooner, thereby reducing on scene time expenses and make them available for other calls, duties etc. You'll hear all kinds of reasons NOT to do it. I always asked people that were building new homes if they were gonna install a lawn watering system. Most answered yes-but they cried $$$ woes when asked about installing a fire sprinkler system!"
I want to thank Former Chief See for taking the time to discuss this with me.

Julie Brewington Winner Of The July FUJA Award
If anyone deserves the monthly FUJA award it is definitely Julie Brewington. This lady has taken attack after attack after attack on an almost daily basis at the hands of the miniature Hitler. Julie for standing up for yourself and to him and for carrying yourself with class throughout the entire time I honor you with my Monthly FUJA Award.Pocomoke Diner Review
I have heard a buzz about this place since they opened up what used to be Traders Fried Chicken.
Located in the Plaza shared by Eastern Shore Lanes, Dunkin Doughnuts and Hardees, this place has plenty of parking as well as a drive thru.
I ordered the Blackened Chicken Caesar salad, I must say it was a huge portion served in a large bowl, (I hate salads served on plates), plenty of chicken, the Blacken Seasoning was not over bearing at all, the Caesar Dressing was a creamy texture as opposed to an oily base. None of the vegetables were brown or spotted.
Now this was my only visit but I do plan on returning and trying breakfast as well as dinner.
