Salisbury Fire Department Ambulance Struck While Responding to Call
At approximately 1238 hours today, Salisbury Fire Department Ambulance Paramedic 16 was dispatched and responding to a medical call for service at the Delmarva Shorebirds Stadium. Paramedic 16 was traveling eastbound on Route 50 in the area of Autumn Grove Court with emergency lights and sirens activated. A vehicle crossing Route 50, entering Autumn Grove Court, collided with Paramedic 16 at that time.
One elderly female patient was transported via Salisbury Fire Department EMS to PRMC for minor injuries. The two Salisbury Fire Department personnel involved were transported to PRMC for evaluation, treated and released.
The vehicle that collided with the ambulance sustained heavy damage. Salisbury Paramedic 16 sustained moderate damage and will be out of service indefinitely until it can be repaired.
City of Salisbury Police Department is handling the investigation.

There is this all you can eat sushi place in the claremont shopping center it is on rt 13 south in the same shopping center as baskin robins subway and dragon Chinese, this sushi bar is called the dadami. well i was eating there today and i didnt eat the rice that was with the fish and i was approached by the owner and told i needed to eat the rice with it because they could not afford it if everyone did that. who are they to tell a paying customer how to eat their food when they are paying for it. this is pathetic and i will never eat there again. this was not the first time i ate there but it is the last and this was an all you can eat sushi lunch bar"

On July 7, 2010 between 1:48am and 3:00am, officers responded to reported burglaries in the 300 block of Washington St and the 300 block of Princeton Ave.
The suspect in both burglaries is described as: Black Male, tall, wearing a white tee shirt, denim shorts and a red ball cap.
The suspect is believed to have entered the occupied residences by an unsecured door or window. In both incidents the suspect entered the bedroom of the victims as they slept.
At one location nothing appeared to have been stolen. At the second location only a pack of cigarettes was removed from the victim’s purse.
The Salisbury Police Department wants to remind all citizens to properly secure their residences when they are not at home but especially so during the night time hours when they are asleep. Citizens should also be vigilant for any suspicious persons in their neighborhoods and report all suspicious person(s) /activity to the Police Department immediately.

Michael Swartz and Bob Laun should definitely get votes and have my support. Mark McIver and worthless slug of a human Gollum..roflmao. Talk about 2 rejects who I wouldn't let shine my shoes. I think the best part however is that they are public figures now since they are running for office (isn't that right Joe?).
Sadly Unopposed Races
To say I was disappointed that Mike Lewis and Joe Holloway are running unopposed would be quite the understatement. The only positive thing is that at least 4 years of suffering with these 2 is behind us. I have absolutely nothing to say positive about Mike Lewis as he is well aware I cannot stand him at all. I wish that someone would have had the courage to stand up and challenge him to his record and history.
Since he has been Sheriff we have had several deputies get involved in criminal activities, lose evidence for a trial that a judge reprimanded the office for, continued claims of racial prejudice, accusations of lying to investigators in the Carole Mayers case and police brutality. I also want to add that talking about himself in the third person and his media whoring are two of my personal favorites.
Joe Holloway? "snickers" got nothing to say that people already don't think of the man.

I support Dan Powell and hope the people of Somerset are ready to bring about change that has been needed to the area. Vote Dan Powell for Somerset County State's Attorney

The battle of the gentlemen. I support Bob Caldwell for this seat, but have nothing but good things to say about David Macleod. I wish David could have run against Joe Holloway but that is another post.
POLLITT ISSUES WICOMICO BURNING BAN
For Immediate Release
Salisbury, MD
July 7, 2010
Due to extreme heat and near drought-like conditions, County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr. has placed a burning ban in effect for Wicomico County. All outdoor burning is prohibited with the exception of the use of gas or charcoal grills and the staging of professional fireworks displays. Burning ban violations carry a $500 fine per incident. Burning ban enforcement is administered by the County Planning and Zoning Code Enforcer. Citizens are advised to call Planning and Zoning at 410-548-4860 to report violations.
Pollitt said that all burning permits are voided during the ban and that the Health Department will not be issuing burning permits until further notice.
The Wicomico County Executive has the authority to issue a burning ban for 7 days. Extending the ban involves concurrence by the Wicomico County Council.

I don't think you need me to tell you who I support in this race. Of all the people who are running for office I dislike Stevie Prettyman on a scale all to herself. Please vote for Mike Calpino and rid us of Stevie Prettyman's theatrics.

I am supporting Sheree Sample-Hughes in this race. I have had the pleasure many times of talking to Sheree and while I may not agree with every vote she makes I think she is a class act and has in mind the best needs of her District.
House Of Delegates District 37A
I completely support Dustin Mills for this seat and if he doesn't win I would prefer Rudy Cane again over worst case scenario Von Siggers
Wicomico County Council At Large
I support Mike Brewington and Chris Lewis for the 2 open seats and hope that if you are a voter that you will at least take the time to learn about these 2 fine candidates before you place a vote for one of the others listed. I will be proud to cast my vote for Mike or Chris.
House Of Delegates District 38A
Wow what a race it will be here in District 38a which as far as I am concerned contains some of the highest quality candidates available, and it is a real shame they are running against each other. I actually support all 3 Republican Candidates and feel like they would all represent the best interests of the people. John Cannon and John Phoebus are both highly respected and kind individuals and I admire Julie Brewington for having the courage to put up with the attacks against her and her family, and for wanting to serve her community better by running for Office.
