No Real Shocking Late Filings
Pretty Much nothing exciting happened as of the closing of the Board Of Elections Filing Deadline. I will have my detailed discussion up in the morning.
Joe Albero Dresses Like A Woman and Grabs His Breasts

I want to thank Albero for letting the entire world see how whacked out of his mind he truly is. He dresses like a Woman and obviously must have been drinking out of the bottles before he shot the video. It was an improvement however over his usual jet black hair.
Joe your attempts at humor actually show your obsessions with all things Julie. I must begin to wonder if Julie turned down an advance from you since you are acting like a spurned lover..hmmm
Will Update List of Candidates
I will be staying on top of all the filings as the evening progresses and will have a full comprehensive review in the morning of all candidates and who I will support .
I will make posts as they are updated all evening so keep checking back.

Julie Brewington Makes It Official

Julie has signed the papers and is now officially a candidate. Congrats Julie be sure to check out her campaign website
http://juliebrewington.com/
and FYI
Julie Brewington is not being interviewed on sbynews
Trust me Julie Brewington is not being interviewed for the 6pm newscast on sbynews and it is just Albero's attempt at defaming her more and making fun of her. She did not sit down for any interview as a candidate so please don't fall for his BS about her being on the show.
Chris Lewis Makes it Official Today
His website to be up later in the week. Chris is running as a Republican

SFD Press Release Regarding Thrift Travel Inn Incident

On Saturday evening, July 5, 2010, at approximately 2142 hours, the Salisbury Fire Department was dispatched for a response to the Thrift Travel Inn, located at 603 N. Salisbury Boulevard. Engine 16-1 responded.
Upon investigation, the building was found to have smoke conditions inside the structure. An electrical fire was discovered in the wall of the mechanical, laundry, and storage room. A live wire was found to be contacting a gas line and multiple electrical shorts were noted within the building. Though occupants had already exited the building, malfunctioning emergency exit lights resulted in the order to have the structure evacuated indefinitely.
The Salisbury Fire Department was assisted by City of Salisbury Neighborhood Services and City of Salisbury Police during this incident.
The Salisbury Fire Department assisted in the safe placement of over fifty occupants in area motel rooms, filling every vacant room in the county due to the holiday weekend. The Salisbury Fire Department provided transportation for eighteen of the occupants who were without vehicles.
Said Deputy Chief William Gordy, who helped aid in the efforts that evening, “Once the situation was under control in the building, our main concern shifted to finding safe shelter for every occupant, and making sure they arrived there securely. This caused us to remain on scene for approximately five hours, but no one was left without somewhere to go.”
The situation was turned over to City of Salisbury Neighborhood Services.
Rick Pollitt By A Landslide

Unless someone files by the deadline tonight I just cannot see any of the candidates currently filed to run against him having much of a chance. Look I wish all of them the best but being realistic Rick Pollitt has this in the bag.
It surprises me no big name opponents have filed for this seat considering how many had complained about Rick and the decisions he has made as County Executive. The Republican party is of course supporting Joe Ollinger but it seems to me they were expecting someone else to step forward since we haven't really seen alot of outpouring of support from the party.
Another Hot One This Afternoon
Heat Advisory This Afternoon everyone be safe stay, hydrated and in the shade if possible.
Welcome To Scare Tactics

I know the public has been wanting a response from me on the latest attacks on Mike and Julie Brewington from sbynews. Honestly however what's the point? if you follow blogs you know it is only his common behavior to try to intimidate and scare people into not running for office.
I offered to do a hit piece on Albero for the entire episode but Mike and Julie asked me to please not do so. This shows a quality of humanity that Albero will never have. If you can vote for Mike or Julie please consider doing so by looking at their ideas and suggestions for change and not the tabloid world of Joe Albero.
Let It Snow, Let It Snow ..Snow Ordinance on Council Work Session
The very controversial issue of snow removal in the City is on the work session agenda today at 4 pm at the GOB. I am going to chime in with my thoughts on the matter. I cannot believe the City was fining anyone for snow removal when we had an unprecendeted number of snow storms hit the area back to back to back.
It is unfair and ridiculous to expect the citizens to have the walks cleared in conditions such as they were, let alone unsafe. If a property is causing an issue for Police and Fire to do their jobs properly, the City should just suck it up and clear that spot. It is a no win situation for all involved to get into the game of fines for snow removal. I know that the revenue from said fines would be great but honestly come on now.
Great Holiday Weekend

What a great holiday weekend on the Shore, I was happy that I did not see a bunch of accidents and incidents on the roadways and that everyone was driving safely. There is no finer place to be than the Eastern Shore on a warm 4th of July Weekend.
