Edward Smith, an elderly man who has suffered strokes, relies on his wheelchair as his only means of independence and frequently uses it to visit his family.
On Saturday his battery died while returning from a visit, requiring staff from the John B. Parson Assisted Living home picked him up, however when they returned to retrieve the chair it had been stolen.
“It’s sad to say that this happens, but it’s ridiculous,” said, Smith’s occupational therapist.
A report has been filed with police, however it is still unclear if his wheelchair will be recovered or if insurance will be able to replace it.

I want some company that has mobility equipment locally or someone who has one they no longer need to get in contact with the John B Parsons home and get this elderly gentleman back on the road. I am asking anyone that knows anything about this to contact the police.I will stay on this story as it matters to me.

Debbie Campbell and Jim Ireton and A Grand Jury?
I have been reading and hearing some fascinating things today regarding that still missing video tape of Debbie Campbell's from her Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Service days. This is the one that Jim Ireton had ordered Chief Webster to stop looking into. Well rumors are flying all over that a grand jury has met regarding this matter and that Campbell and Ireton are trying to block the subpoena.

Rick Pollitt Seeks A Second Term

Rick Pollitt will be seeking a second term as County Executive. So far Joe Ollinger is his only opponent. I have heard many say however that Ollinger isn't ready for the job.
Salisbury Fire Chief Apply Within

Another search is underway for the new Salisbury Fire Chief according to Jim. The Daily times reports that Becker is the only one of the originals still interested, but I wonder if Jim is looking for everyone to agree why even consider him again if he hasn't gotten that support last time?
I still feel like Rick Hoppes is getting the shaft as he has been doing the job for a year, but I guess I would tire of the BS as well if I were him. I'm not sure you will have much luck getting everyone to agree on the new Chief so it feels kind of futile to begin with. I wonder if Jon David Black should be considered since all seem to like him. If not maybe Wayne Barrall should run that would be fun as hell.
What Can We Expect In The Next 5 days?
As the filing deadline draws even closer the question is who else is going to announce their intentions for public office?.
I have heard rumors of at least 2 people who are very close to filing for Wicomico State's Attorney against Davis Ruark. The field is pretty stacked right now but I am sure more is to come. I wish someone would run against Joe Holloway however.

Delmarva Ready for Change

It is exciting to see so many people from varying political views putting themselves out to try to change Delmarva for the best, this includes incumbents as well. This is a great time to be an American and to be proud of our political process and thank our founding fathers for these rights. The Tea Party, AFP and Libetarians who have filed are making waves which Is always a good thing.
Joel Todd The Only Choice For Worcester County

Violent crime has gone down 40 percent in the past 5 years, thanks to good police work and aggressive prosecutions. Keep Worcester County Safe. Keep Joel Todd as State's Attorney.
His opponent Beau Oglesby like to say he is a career Prosecutor, but just go to md case search yourself and see the number of cases he has been the defense attorney for. Joel Todd the only choice for Worcester County.
Peter Pan For District 38B!

Of course Albero doesn't mind when a buddy of his and Mike Lewis's great defender A Kaye Kenney decides to run for office but ripped Julie for deliberately tearing the Republican Party apart. The funny thing is Albero has a Mike McDermott sticker who is running for the same seat 38b as a Republican on his truck. I find that quite interesting that he doesn't have anything negative to say about her. You are so simple to figure out Albero. I actually can vote because 38B is my voting district but I can assure you I would rather vote for Peter Pan than McDermott or Kenney.
Somerset County Deserves A New Sheriff

It was great news when I heard Chief Webster was going to run for Somerset County Sheriff, and I am excited for the people in Somerset that real change is now available for them.
Chief Webster brings a caliber and quality of law enforcement to the table for the residents that will make all feel safer at night. Bobby Jones has served as Sheriff for 25 years and it is time for him to retire. The episode last year with Donna Pusey and allegations of corruption have shown that real change is needed with a new Sheriff in town.
The proficiency of that department will improve dramatically under Allan Webster's leadership and organizational skills. Somerset County is ready to be brought into the modern law enforcement methods of Chief Webster. If you live in Somerset County spread the word to vote for Allan Webster for Sheriff.
Wow What Happened to Kumbaya Joe?

As expected Yellow Bellied Joe went right back on his promise of peace and tranquility in the world with his attack on Julie Brewington last night. I think this could have been a record of him reverting to his old ways however, so I must guess he took one extra Happy pill when he made the earlier post.
This is the kind of trash, lies and disgusting behavior he is famous for. I clipped just a few for examples of how he attacks people personally. He also brings Julie's children into the fray with which is something he just says you should never do. Joe your trash and you proved it once again. The disgrace is you Joey and its to the human race not any political party.
Allan Webster Files For Somerset County Sheriff

Official Press Release
After much thought and encouragement from law enforcement officials, business owners and community residents, I am officially announcing that I will be seeking the office of Sheriff for Somerset County. I will be filing the appropriate documents with the Election Board this week.
My forty years of public service and professional law enforcement experience will benefit the residents of Somerset County and assist me in organizing the Sheriff’s Department to become more efficient and professional. I am looking forward to meeting business owners and residents throughout the county over the next several months to discuss issues and share my goals for the next four years. Some of my goals include:
1. Obtaining grant funding to equip all of the Department’s vehicles with lap-top computers and in-car video systems
2. Improve the efficiency of the department to reduce the costs to taxpayers of Somerset County
3. Aggressive enforcement of drug crimes and seizure of drug dealer’s assets
4. Stabilize the Department by seeking competitive pay and
benefits for Sheriff’s Deputies
Growing up, I have fond memories of Somerset County, spending many summers with my aunt and uncle, Margaret and Linwood Mariner on their chicken farm in Rehobeth, Maryland. My father, Carpenter Webster was born on Deal Island and my grandfather Howard Webster’s home still stands on Osburn Webster Road on Deal Island. I live in Marion Station with my wife, Carol Ann of Crisfield, Maryland.
