RIP Sam Vincent : Video From MSP Press Conference

(Video By Jonathan Taylor)

I don't have words for this tragic loss and will just leave this video detailing the accident. Sam Vincent I never had the pleasure of meeting but I know he was a great man by the people that have spoken to me about him. This is one of the biggest loses in this area and I really am speechless. Please keep his family in your prayers as well as the other people involved.

Thanks
Jonathan

Rick Pollitt Staement regarding The Passing Of Sam Vincent

“Sam was one of the most honest and decent people I’ve ever known. He devoted his life to serving our community and his tragic loss is a hard blow to all who knew and loved him. On behalf of all the citizens of Wicomico County, we send our deepest sympathy and prayers to Sam’s family.”

Mr. Pollitt has ordered all county flags lowered to half-mast until after Mr. Vincent’s funeral services.

Updates

I know everyone is waiting for updates, but this is a very difficult time. Please just allow some time and think about the families involved. I will not publish any details until I am sure it is ok and then even if I'm beaten to it I don't care.

Please Don't send comments regarding Accident

I will not publish any comments being sent about the accident.

Support Mike Calpino

Only by working together can we bring founding principles, vision and fiscal sanity to Wicomico County. As an incumbent seeking her fourth term, my opponent is well established and well funded. She has her husband’s personal fortune to fall back on so I don’t expect to compete on that level. But the TEA party, at its core, is a grassroots movement and it is on that level we can shine. Here are some ways you can get involved.

1. Talk to your neighbors. Consider going door-to-door with campaign literature. If you can get a group of ten or fifteen of your neighbors together, let me know and I will personally come to talk to your group.

2. Put a sign in your yard. If you live along a major route, consider a larger sign (4’x4’). Name recognition is key.

3. Consider becoming a campaign coordinator for your town. I need one in Sharptown, Mardela, Quantico, Nithsdale, Whitehaven, Bivalve/Tyaskin, Fruitland and Allen

4. Plan to attend the town halls I will be running in the various locations in the district (Sharptown, the West Side, Quantico, Allen, Friutland, Mardela). These will be more than campaign events. I will be educating voters about the ideals and principles upon which our country was founded in addition to addressing specific county issues.

5. Support the campaign financially. Signs, literature, rentals for the town halls and advertising all cost money. If we are going to get our message out and force the argument about the cost and reach of government, we need to reach as many people as possible and I’m sure we will need to counteract the distortions and lies the establishment will use to try to defeat us. (Make checks payable to "Calpino for Council" and send to P.O. Box 36, Nanticoke, MD, 21840) Any amount helps.

Please e-mail me your name, address and phone number if you can help in any of these areas.

Huge Backlash Against Davis Ruark

I don't think Davis Ruark was expecting the huge public backlash against his move with Sam Vincent. Every news source which allowed comments was just about full of criticism of him for this boneheaded maneuver. There is no precedent to do what he is doing as history will show, it is a petty move as I stated yesterday.

Exciting Feature Next Week

Next week I will be providing a service to the voters in the area, by providing answers from the people running for office in our area. I will be sending a set of questions to local candidates to get some straight answers to the issues that matter the most to us all. Stay Tuned and hopefully over the weekend I will get some responses, if not I will let the public know.
