Who Will Mike Lewis Support??

One of the more interesting topics floating about since yesterday is since Sam is going to file as a republican is Mike Lewis going to stick with his party lines and support Sam?. Could this be another relationship that Davis Ruark has that will begin to crack because of Davis choosing this latest political move?

I'm going to take a guess and say that Mike Lewis being the politician he is will keep his mouth shut as he can't be sure who would win and fear it could hurt him in the end..time will tell..

Even though I support Sam Vincent I have said and will continue, to not support Mike Lewis for anything and hoping someone will be filing against him soon. I have said before and will say again he sucks as a Sheriff and would be better utilized if he was on I-95 sniffing for drugs in hidden compartments.

Comments Regarding Davis Ruark

I appreciate all the comments being sent in on this post but the majority I have had to reject because I don't want to make this into a personal attack. I can't claim he isn't being gentlemanly toward Sam and allow multiple comments talking about him being a drunk, so please don't add any personal attacks toward Davis and just state you won't support him.

I appreciate it

Showing How Much Albero Lies

Wow everyone had a seat?

Hardly anyone showed?

Photos from Rightcoastgirl

Sour Grapes Make For A Bitter Whine

In his usual adolescent behavior today Albero has now turned on the AFP and Tea Party lying about the number of people in attendance last night and acting like without him involved they will fail. The other amusing part is that like he did with Bruce Patterson he makes the insinuation that Julie Brewington is a drunk and that they hold the meetings at Brew River just for that reason.

Has there ever been anyone who disagrees with Albero who isn't a drunk? I mean that has to be the reason they are disagreeing with him, I mean my lands a sane person could never not back him up.The most amusing part is seeing him self destruct where everyone is laughing at him now because he isn't a player in the area anymore, just a rambling idiot with a website.

Former Somerset County Sheriff Deputy Troy Durham Case

The article in the daily times which can be found by clicking here regarding former Somerset County Sheriff Deputy Troy Durham I found to be very interesting.

Seems Durham filed a grievance against the Somerset County Sheriff's Office about alleged corruption within the department, which was swiftly met with a
police hearing board meetying which found him guilty of disseminating departmental information and engaging in unbecoming conduct after Durham sent a copy of his grievance to outside agencies including the Maryland Attorney General's Office, Maryland State Police, local media and a U.S. senator from Virginia.

Durham claims "The only time I went outside the agency is when I was told that the grievance I filed against Sheriff Jones would be investigated by Sheriff Jones," Durham said to the times.

The part I will add to this is I'm not sure why the board recommended a 10 day total suspension for this but Bobby Jones decided to fire him. I don't know the situation well at all, but if you are familiar with it please leave me comments with anything you may have heard. Be interested to see what happens Friday.

Please Welcome Back Our Talbot County Contributor

Please Welcome Back Our Talbot County Contributor A regular who. I believe so far they have made 2 posts the one below about Andy Harris and the one regarding the Talbot GOP. Make sure you look at who the post is by when reading.

Thanks
Jonathan

Andy Harris for U.S. Congress

Andy Harris officially filed his bid to run for Maryland's First Congressional District on June 22, 2010.

He released the following statement regarding his decision:

"I am running to be the next member of Congress for Maryland's First District to protect citizens from an out-of-control Congress," Harris said. "After 18 months of bailouts, government takeovers, the largest national debt in history and trillion dollar spending schemes, it is clear we need new leadership in Washington. Marylanders are witnessing firsthand the systematic dismantling of the American dream by this Administration and the majority in Congress and they want it to stop. I am running to restore fiscal responsibility to Washington while ending the vast government overreaching endorsed by Congressional leaders and their rank-and-file enablers. I have a solid record on protecting taxpayers from the abuse we're seeing in Congress and am proud to have the broad support of Republicans, Democrats and Independent Marylanders who share my concerns and want to work to change the course our country is on."

Senator Harris is someone who will fight until the end to uphold the American Dream for our generation and generations to come. He believes that the key to the success of our economy lies in cutting our tax rates. Andy Harris wants a fairer tax system, to cut the capital gains and corporate income tax, and do away with the marriage penalty and death tax.

As a physician he knows that our health care insurance system needs some tending to. He supports increased competition, price transparency, tax credits, and expanded medical savings accounts and thinks that reform should start by focusing on reducing costs and maintaining quality while not harming patient rights.

His parents came to this country after fleeing communism in the Soviet Union during World War 2, therefore he knows that immigrants who come to this country legally can be a great asset to this country and our economy, but also knows that our government needs to work harder in returning the temporary workers back to their countries when their visas expire. He will work hard to protect our borders and making sure that illegal immigrants are not taking jobs that are needed by the American citizens.

Joel Todd Files For Reelection

Worcester County States Attorney Joel Todd has filed for reelection. This is great news for the residents as I think Joel is a great guy and has done great work. I was very impressed with his handling of the Christine Sheddy case and even though I don't live there will be supporting his efforts. If you know anyone in that area tell them to vote for Joel as he is the best man for the job. Some of his accomplishments are below

Joel Todd created the first Victim/Witness Agent in Worcester County.

Along with then Ocean City Police Chief David Massey, Joel Todd established a community-service program to reduce the time police officers spend in court.

Joel Todd was at the forefront of establishing a Drug Court where juveniles and offenders with long-standing drug problems are placed in stringent probation programs that includes addictions, mental health and employment counseling.

In order to reduce the burden on courts, Joel Todd established a mediation program to resolve family and neighborhood differences without court intervention.

Joel Todd working with Worcester County Social Services helped to build a Child Advocacy Center adjacent to Atlantic General Hospital, where abused, neglected, and victimized children can get medical treatment, get help from Social Services and meet with investigators and attorneys who will prosecute those accused of crimes
against children.

Going To Be A Scorcher Today

Be Careful outdoors today It is going to be hellish hot.

Davis Ruark Gets Petty

I have always had a decent working relationship with Davis for the most part but this latest action by him is one of, if not the most petty and childish things I have ever seen. Sam Vincent has been his friend for over 25 years and now Davis is strong arming him into resigning.

The part that really pissed me off is that Davis told me it was "misconstrued" and yet here we are today seeing that Sam Vincent said that is exactly what was said. I'm not sure how requiring an employee planning to file for candidacy to submit an undated letter of resignation prior to filing...or Any employee being offered a position by a potential candidate must also submit an undated letter of resignation had been misconstrued

This is the dumbest thing Davis could have done, because many many people I have spoken to about Sam have told me about his great Character, his skills as a Lawyer and just what a great person that he is, and Davis pulls this BS. Whoever that is working on his campaign that told him it was time to turn the wick up on Sam may have just cost him his job.

This is as petty as it gets, you run against me ..how dare you..I want your letter of resignation, The other part to this that is sad is the second part of this act. The "any employee being offered a position by a potential candidate must also submit an undated letter of resignation" part.

What this is trying to do is paint to the public that Sam is sneaking around the office recruiting people for his side and undermining the State's Attorneys Office. This part pisses me off because in a very subtle way he is attacking Sam's character. I again have talked to several attorney's about this and they all said Sam would never do that and if you knew him you would know better, to which I replied yea if you know him, but to the uneducated voter it isn't so clear is it.

Petty Politics 101 folks and it now has come between 2 long time friends. The same people that I talked to also said that Sam Vincent is the work horse at that office and with Davis forcing him to resign he is the one that is weakening and dividing the State's Attorney Office. I have to wonder if Davis needing this election to get his State's Attorney retirement pension has made him up the pettiness level on his long time friend.

I told Davis yesterday that he should have just left it alone and let the voters decide who was best for the job and done it the gentlemanly way, but instead someone close to Davis thought this was the play to make.

I cannot and will not support Davis in this election now, because I don't like this behavior on his part. Davis Ruark is a nice guy and I personally don't have any beef with him, but I pick people on character and this play shows a lack of it on his part and for that reason the Salisbury Grinch will support Sam Vincent in the upcoming election.
